4 Fall Sewer Line Maintenance Tips to Ensure Longevity It's crucial to take proactive steps this fall to maintain your sewer line and ensure its longevity. Regular upkeep can safeguard your plumbing system against seasonal challenges that come with the colder months. Here are four essential tips to keep your sewer line in optimal condition. 1. Inspect and Clean: Schedule a thorough inspection and cleaning to remove any debris or buildup that could cause blockages. This step is fundamental in preventing backups and ensuring smooth flow. 2. Check for Tree Roots: Fall is a critical time to address any tree root intrusions, as roots can penetrate and damage your sewer lines, leading to severe blockages and potential breaks. 3. Repair Leaks Promptly: Any small leaks should be repaired immediately to prevent them from escalating into larger issues. Leaks can weaken the integrity of your sewer line and lead to more significant problems. 4. Insulate Exposed Pipes: As temperatures drop, it's essential to insulate any exposed pipes to protect them from freezing. Frozen pipes can burst, causing extensive damage and expensive repairs. By following our suggestions, you can extend the life of your sewer line and avoid major disruptions. For professional sewer line maintenance in Santa Fe, trust The Overall Plumber. One of the challenges when comes to RVing is when it is time to installing or remove your sewer connections. Having enough hand grip and strength to twist can become a challenge. Having leverage required to remove the sewer cap and the dump hose or stinky slinky can be difficult to remove or install at times. #SewerConnections

Unexpected leaks and broken pipes are frustrating. Don't add to the headache by skipping this step. Did you know you can request a refund from the water bureau? The City of Portland Water Bureau allows one adjustment to your bill per 12-month period for "an underground or outdoor leak that does not go into the sewer system, and one adjustment for a leak that does go into the sewer system." As soon as the repairs are made, call them at 503-823-7770. They will ask you for information, including when the leak was discovered and fixed, and a repair description. A staff member will be sent out to verify the repair. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/gtY-RJ3n
