CEO & CFO Leadership Focus: 2024 Insights and 2025 Predictions A compelling analysis of leadership focus 2024 reveals clear shifts in priorities. While technology and growth continue to be cornerstones for CFOs, CEOs have pivoted significantly toward cost optimization—a priority that has risen by 73% compared to prior years. This strategic shift suggests that broader economic and sector-specific challenges are pushing CEOs to concentrate on operational efficiency more than ever. For 2025, my prediction is that CEOs are expected to maintain a strong emphasis on cost management but may also broaden their focus to sustainable growth initiatives and risk management as global economic uncertainties continue. CFOs, on the other hand, will likely deepen their commitment to digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, and financial agility, providing critical support for organizational adaptability and strategic expansion. We might also expect potential policy shifts that could impact tax regulations and investment incentives. This may further influence CEO and CFO priorities, as leadership navigates evolving fiscal landscapes while striving to drive efficiency and growth. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and predictions for 2025. #LeadershipTrends #CostOptimization #CFOInsights #CEOAgenda #EconomicOutlook #2025Predictions

The days of the CFO as a pure numbers person are long gone. Sage’s research, The Secrets of Successful CFOs, reveals a role that’s more dynamic than ever - one that’s as much about leadership and strategy as it is about the spreadsheets. It’s not just about crunching numbers; it’s about solving problems, managing talent, and driving technological transformation. Interestingly, the skills most valued by successful CFOs are the ones that go beyond finance: ✔️ Problem-solving (79%) ✔️ Leadership (78%) ✔️ Mastery of technology (78%) ✔️ Communication and confidence (both 77%) What’s clear is that today’s finance leaders are wearing many hats—and they’re embracing this broader remit with a focus on continuous learning and adaptability. Whether it’s stepping up to ESG reporting or navigating digital transformation, the future of the CFO role lies in its breadth as much as its depth. So, here’s a question: as finance leaders, how are you keeping pace with these evolving demands? Which skills do you think will define success in the years ahead? #CFO
