My favorite travel hack is having an iPad + MacBook, and using Universal Control so you can control both with one keyboard/mouse. This is better than simply using a second monitor as you can use native mobile apps on the iPad and everything else on your Mac while using just one device to control both. My current setup leverages the hotel coffee maker for a stand and the iPad keyboard/touchpad to control both (so I can use the MacBook camera for calls). #EngineerWizard it's an old device from back in 2016 showing the power of the Engineering App as it navigates around a hell of a lot of manuals. Basically the app can have an unlimited custom menus, unlimited manuals, unlimited notes, unlimited images basically its all unlimited your only limit is the size of the space you have to store everything which these days 256GB or 512GB sd cards are not expensive and a lot of devices can even come with 1tb of space, that's a lot of storage for manuals when they might only be 256k-512k in size. You will notice how many menu sections I show in the old app, now just imagine how I used to have 64gb of manuals, images, video, engineering notes and much much more sat on a 2016 tablet.
