Why leaders have to adapt their approach when leading others? "Leadership is lifting a person's vision to high sights, the raising of a person's performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations." —Peter Drucke We need to be people-centred in all that we do - be it in the words we choose, the way we say it, and how we engage with them. While we intend to help a person grow, they cannot readily sense it, so we have to change our approach to help them, help themselves. What has been your experience in adapting your approach when leading people? "Outstanding leaders go out of their way to boost the self-esteem of their personnel. If people believe in themselves, it's amazing what they can accomplish." —Sam Walton #ashleyvinil #visualleadership #visdemy #storypreso #leadership

The Power of People Leadership is a privilege and a responsibility. It’s a privilege because you have been chosen to lead and direct a group of individuals to accomplish great things, but more importantly, it is a responsibility. Leaders: What is an authentic experience of leadership to you? The adjectives being used for leaders (empathetic/ service/ EQ etc.) to me are a given. What is critical is the intention and the attention that the leader has for the #communities and teams they serve. Leadership is community service. #Leadership is providing consistent value to all communities we are a part of in our personal and professional lives. This means going an extra mile in #relationships, in daily endeavours and in motivating others. The difference leaders want to make, the dreams they dream and the massive action they take to change the course of history is all deeply rooted in them wanted to make others win. An authentic experience of leadership is the choice to rise by lifting others. What does leadership mean to you? And how do you see self-leadership in your life? Who are you committed to serving in 2025? Who are you choosing to be an ally for? #leadership #success #goals #motivation

Three key attributes that make great leaders are: 1. Handle the hard conversations with care. you have to know how to associate with your people in a way that doesn't make them feel worthless. 2. Be the bigger person. There will be many situations where someone pushes a button and it causes you to want to react harshly. Stay in character. 3. Build a quality relationship with your employees and trust them to do what you ask. If you don't know your people they don't put in the effort to deliver for you. When you're trusted and your people know you care they excel. #leadership

Leadership isn't about being in charge; it's about taking care of those in our charge. Great leadership involves the awesome responsibility of seeing those around us rise and thrive. The closest analogy I can give to being a great leader is like being a great parent. It's all about human skills, empathy, and dedication. Leaders who become truly exceptional are obsessed with learning. They read books, study articles, and continuously seek knowledge about leadership. They are always striving to improve and ensure that those in their care benefit from what they’ve learned. Just like great parents, great leaders are always growing and nurturing those around them. #Leadership #Growth #Empathy

How can effective listening enhance our quality of being a leader? A true leader is a person who works in the interest of people, listen to them, and shows genuine concern. The people we trust as our leaders are the ones we believe understand our needs. When we bring our concerns to them, and they listen and take actions to improve things, our trust in them grows. The more credible is the leader, the more powerful they become. If you are in a leadership position, value other people’s opinions, address their concerns, and listen to what they need. You can turn their opinions into ideas and their concerns into areas for improvement so that you can work towards making changes that will improve their lives.
