I loved talking with Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Billie Jean King, Reese Witherspoon, Ava DuVernay, and Megan Rapinoe for my new “Moments That Make Us” series. We laughed, we had fun, and we went deep. You can watch all of the episodes here:

Ever feel like you don't belong? Like you can't make a difference? That's exactly how Stacey Abrams felt when she was told she didn't belong at the Governor's mansion. But guess what? She didn't give up. She knew she could make things better.
This feeling of not belonging is a problem for so many people. It stops them from dreaming big and making their voices heard. But just like Stacey, you have the power to change things!

Well said!!
Growth, whether personal, intellectual or professional often requires stepping outside of comfort zones, challenging established norms, and embracing new perspectives. Conformity, however promotes, the status quo and discourages deviation. When individuals conform, they may resist exploring new ideas, trying new experiences or questioning limiting beliefs. This resistance can hinder personal development and growth, as it prevents people from learning and evolving. While some levels of conformity is necessary for social cohesion and order, excessive conformity can lead to a loss of individuality and hinder progress. Embracing diversity in thoughts and behaviors is crucial for personal freedom and growth. By encouraging individuality and allowing space for non-conforming, societies and individuals can foster environments where creativity,, innovation, and personal fulfillment can thrive.

Momentum is drained when conformity hinders growth, but momentum is developed when change helps growth! This quote from John F. Kennedy is so true — “Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth.”

"Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth" suggests that adhering strictly to societal norms and expectations can limit personal freedom and stifle growth. When people conform, they may suppress their unique qualities and ideas to fit in with the crowd, which can prevent them from expressing their true selves and reaching their full potential.
This mindset can hinder innovation, creativity, and self-discovery, ultimately restricting both personal and collective development. Breaking free from conformity allows individuals to explore new possibilities, embrace change, and grow beyond the limitations imposed by societal expectations.

Decoded: Peacock Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist.
This series is one that caught me off guard.
It has served as a redemption arc to the acting career of @kevinhart4real backed by a stellar supporting cast.
This story isn't one that is limited to one thread of a larger narrative but creates more layers the further in we go while consistently developing each layer with subtle nods to the layers developed.
The realities of the history tied into it are used in clever reinterpretations of the truth that lies behind it of the racial realities of the times pushes this narrative forward in wildly exciting and unexpected ways.
I wasn't waiting for a major twist at the end because each beat brought with it twists and turns that made me question everything i thought I knew about this stacked roster of well-developed and complex characters.
There is no doubt in my mind that this series will see itself through and drive the industry forward with bold and structured storytelling that never once feels a need to explain itself or create a sense of being more than what it is.
As a first-generation immigrant of color in Georgia, there is so much that has changed and so much that has stayed the same and this show breaks the patterns of those that came before it while paying homage to one of the greatest eras in the development of Blackness as a mindset and a source of empowerment in these United States.
@samuelljackson @tarajiphenson @doncheadle and @theterrencehoward lead with power and impact in a show so compelling and rewarding that each episode feels like an act of luxurious indulgence.
Yours faithfully,
Qavah.
