Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Fourth of July! We encourage everyone to celebrate sustainably, so here are a few tips: - 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞: Instead of disposable plates, cups, and cutlery, use reusable options like bamboo or stainless steel. If you must use disposable items, look for compostable alternatives. - 𝐆𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝/𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝: Purchase locally sourced and organic foods for your BBQ or picnic. This reduces the carbon footprint associated with transportation and supports local farmers. - 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞: Provide clearly marked recycling and compost bins to encourage guests to dispose of waste properly. Share your commitment to sustainability with friends and family. Encourage them to adopt environmentally friendly practices during celebrations and in their daily lives. #FourthofJuly #IndependenceDay

☕ Turning Brewed Coffee Waste into a Sustainable Solution ♻️ Did you know that millions of tons of used coffee grounds are discarded daily, contributing to environmental waste? 🌍 What if we could take this waste and turn it into something valuable, sustainable, and useful? I’ve been exploring ways to repurpose spent coffee grounds into handmade soaps, body scrubs, and other sustainable products. Not only do these products offer natural exfoliation, but they also help reduce waste while promoting eco-friendly practices. 🌱 This idea aligns with my passion for circular economy, where waste is reimagined as a resource instead of a liability. Now, I need your help: 🚀 Looking to connect with: #Coffee shops and roasters area willing to supply their brewed grounds #Experts in sustainable product development or cosmetics #Brands and individuals who share an interest in green initiatives Let’s work together to create something that benefits both people and the planet! 💚 If you're excited about this idea, please reach out or share this post to help spread the word. Together, we can brew up a change! 🙌 #Sustainability #EcoFriendly #CoffeeWaste #CircularEconomy #Toronto #NaturalProducts #Upcycling

From 'discarded coffee' to mushroom in 15 days. Reinventing new circular processes.
Coffee waste☕️ ➡️ mushrooms 🍄 Still throw away coffee grounds? Julien Jacquet and his PermaFungi team collect coffee waste - and transform it into amazing edible mushrooms. What's cool & circular about this? ➡️🟢 Green food products. The company produces 1 ton of fresh oyster mushrooms and 10 tonnes of organic fertiliser from the recycled coffee grounds (per month). ➡️🟢 Zero waste. The residual from the process is not thrown away - but finds an application in the home appliances industry. ➡️🟢 Clean transport: By using bicycles for collecting coffee grounds and delivering products, PermaFungi avoids CO2 emissions, contributing to a reduction in the carbon footprint. ➡️🟢 DIY. Everybody can do it. With a self-growing kit you can start growing mushrooms yourself. Just can't throw away the 'black gold' any more! #circulareconomy #zerowaste #linkedintopvoices Credit: Ecomedy

❓Did you know mushrooms love coffee too? 🍄☕️ This is a great example of circularity for food, repurposing used coffee grounds (which many coffee shops give away for free!) to grow mushrooms. Turning waste into a medium for growing new food. Instead of throwing things away, communities need to work together to find ways of repurposing and reusing them. Bringing businesses together with charity partners, circular economy innovation and people in local communities is what the Circulsr Mile aims to achieve. Working together we can find solutions to reduce waste, create more sustainable cities and communities and provide education, training and employment opportunities for local people.

🌱 Sustainability is more than just a trend – it is a commitment we take seriously at PulpaMulpa. At a time when the protection of our resources is a top priority, we ask: why do we use only 30% of the cocoafruit and throw the rest away? At PulpaMulpa, we use the remaining 70% of the cocoa fruit, which is usually unused, to make our products. Our approach aims not only to offer delicious products, but also to contribute to the reduction of food waste. Together, let's change the way we use our resources. Join the movement for a more sustainable future! "Together against Fruitwaste!" 🌍💚 #Fruitwaste #Pulpamulpa #togetheragainstfruitwaste

🌿 Why Choose Eco-Friendly Disposable Dinnerware? 🌿 In today's world, sustainability is more important than ever. One simple yet impactful change we can make is switching to eco-friendly disposable dinnerware. Here's why bamboo dinnerware is a game-changer: Environmental Benefits: Bamboo is a highly renewable resource that grows rapidly without the need for pesticides or fertilizers.
