We were thrilled to join the 2nd Danish Peptide Symposium yesterday, November 14, at the University of Copenhagen. It was a fantastic event connecting academia groups and industry players within the large Danish peptide community and the surrounding region. Special thanks to Linda Haugaard-Kedström, Zilma Escobar, Gunnar Stærkær, and Tapes. Bhattacharyya for their participation and contributions. ✨ #peptides #DanishPeptideSymposium #LifeScience

See how #MassPhotometry can be used for epitope binning in #antibody characterization in a recent paper from Ben Spiller's lab at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. The authors created a library of #nanobodies against Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9 (SpCas9). After screening, three nanobody variants were found that tightly bound different epitopes in SpCas9 without interfering with its enzymatic activity or each other – a helpful toolbox for attaching genome-modifying enzymes or fluorescent tags to Cas9. We note that the anti SpCas9 nanobodies were provided by Flower Blossom the alpaca. Read the full story here! 👉 https://lnkd.in/diWar5Uw #MassPhotometryStories

Here it is - out just in time for the holidays! 🎄 We are pleased (and somewhat relieved) to finally announce the publication of our seminal review on the octadecanoids. For those of you not familiar with octadecanoids, they are the little studied C18-carbon cousins of the more well-known #eicosanoids. These lipid mediators exert potent functions in multiple biological processes. Within these 90 pages, you will find our best attempt to summarize as much of the octadecanoid literature as possible. We provide a detailed review of the field, including nomenclature, formation and biological activity of these important #lipid mediators. We hope that this work will help spur interest in our favorite molecules! Amazing effort led by Johanna Revol-Cavalier and Alessandro Quaranta with John Newman, Alan Brash and Mats Hamberg. Here is a link to the paper - which is freely available open access 👇 https://lnkd.in/dKxz9VpA Grateful for the support from Karolinska Institutet, Hjärt-Lungfonden, Vetenskapsrådet / Swedish Research Council as well as Larodan AB.

I'm excited to announce that my first author paper from my graduate school career is officially published in eLife (second draft on the way in January with only fairly minor revisions/reanalysis and no added experiments)! My colleagues and I show that FHOD3L's elongation ability is most important for sarcomere formation in cardiomyocytes, and not its nucleation, capping, or bundling ability. This provides significant insights that further our understanding for the mechanism of sarcomere formation in cardiomyocytes.

🔬 If you are attending the CAR-TCR Summit Series in Boston. You will want to stop by and visit our booth#103. RJ Lee Eliona Kola will also be presenting the critical importance of Leukopak quality and how Cryopreserving Leukopaks and primary cells offers several advantages: 1. Flexibility: Easier scheduling of experiments. 2. Cost-effectiveness: Reduced research and development expenses. 3. Accessibility: Easier access to samples for future studies. #CARTCR #CGT #CellandGeneTherapy
Recognizing the critical importance of Leukopak quality, we’ve focused on ensuring the highest viability of fresh Leukopaks and also demonstrating that our Cryo Leukopaks maintain exceptional quality after thawing. To showcase the shelf life of our cryopreserved Leukopaks, the CGT Global laboratory team has conducted a year-long stability study, confirming that the viability of these products remains well above 95% even after being stored for a minimum of 365 days. Impressive, yes, but why is this significant? Cryopreserving Leukopheresis material and primary cells eliminates logistical challenges, enhances the flexibility of experiment scheduling, reduces research and development costs, and facilitates access to samples from the same lot for future studies. Next week I will be presenting our scientific poster at the 9th CAR-TCR Summit Series Summit in Boston, at Booth #103. The poster will detail how cryopreserved leukopaks and primary cells facilitate timely experiment setup and decrease drug development expenses. I look forward to discussing these insights and talk #science in Boston next week! Won’t be in Boston? Let me know, I will send you a user-friendly version after the show! Fill out the form https://lnkd.in/gKBT4-6Y and use #CARTCRCryoLP to receive the poster.
