Once a month, Brite's can deposit crew heads out to the Campbellfield deposit site to recycle cans collected through the CDS Vic scheme. Last week, the team hit a new record, earning $174.40 from recyclables, adding to an overall profit of $1,393.40 to be reinvested into Brite, as decided by the ERC. Led by Gerald and Owen, the team always embarks on their recycling mission in good spirits, with plenty of smiles aboard the bus. Here’s what some of our team members had to say about the experience: • Andrea: “I really enjoyed putting cans in the machine and working as a team offsite.” • Shane: “It’s fun going offsite and nice contributing to Brite with the cans from home.” • Domenic: “It’s fun to put the cans in the big machine and see how the deposit machine works.” We're proud of their hard work and dedication to making a positive impact at Brite! How do we help industries build material circularity ♻ aligned with their needs and the 2030 climate target?   SWANCOR HOLDING CO., LTD. currently has two major locations of FRP recycling service, which initially started in 2023, Taiwan and later extended to China in 2024.    🔸 For the FRP made of EzCiclo, the recyclable thermosetting resin, the waste regenerates fibers and oligomer through CleaVER liquid process, with the annual capacity of 190 tons. We obtained the certificate, SGS—ISO 14021:2016 - Recycle rate of composites made of SWANCOR EzCiclo ≥ 95%. 🔸 For the general FRP, microwave pyrolysis can convert its waste into recycled fibers. Today marks National Supply Chain Day in the United States, and we're taking this opportunity to celebrate and highlight our Green Supply Chain (GSC). 🌍 At Winvic, we collaborate closely with our GSC to develop innovative and sustainable product solutions. We're constantly researching new construction methods and technologies, focusing on carbon and energy-efficient materials. Our primary objective is to minimise the embodied carbon emissions across the entire lifecycle of our projects. Our 'One Team' approach enables us to work collaboratively to measure, reduce, and, when necessary, offset the embodied carbon emissions associated with each Net Zero project we undertake. 🤝 Bi-annual GSC workshops focus on how to make Net Zero a reality by sharing ideas for carbon reduction measures. At WM, we’re proud to be North America’s #1 recycler, recovering over 15 million tons of post-consumer materials in 2023 alone. That’s the equivalent of 25 million 8-yard containers filled with recyclable materials diverted from landfills! I’ve spoken about how important relationships are in our industry, but something that hasn’t always been the norm is collaboration. For too long, secrecy was the standard. But here’s the truth, collaboration is cool. 🤝 When we break down those barriers and work together, we elevate the entire industry, sharing insights and innovations that push us all forward. This is one of the best takeaways I had leaving the Scrap Expo in Louisville a couple of weeks ago. 💡 I’ve been fortunate to learn from passionate advocates like Michael Goldstein🟦, John Sacco, Stuart Kagan, Tim Ridderbos, and Scuba Jessica.
