Yesterday I joined the board of https://infrasweden.nu/ My first webbinarum from the boards perspective is nov 27th, don't miss it. Digital Winter has been a success story and a perfect example of collaboration between Infrasweden2030 and Trafikverket. Now comes chapter 2: Nira Dynamics, Univrses, Mercedes Benz collects data from ordinary cars. The goal in the end is to offer the right quality for road users today and tomorrow. Vehicles, tires but also roads envolves all the time and it's a mather of budget and politics of course. By using data from the road users themselves, we can optimize the budget of maintenance (i.e. ask for the right level of maintenance at the right place) and at the same time make it possible for contractors to document the quality of their work. Finally making it profitable for contractors to come up with new materials and innovative methods since the road authority paying for non existing pot holes or lack of cracks... found by the road users themselves. What comes next? Vehicles finding elks and deers, documenting bad guard rails etc. After that it´s time for automation. Sleepless maintenance trigged by road users? With few human interactions?
