This might sound very romantic, but the biggest reason for the gap between you and your children is their lobby for Except. The key to bridging this gap is 1 embracing their world without using your own button #2 communicate openly and celebrate both the differences and the similarities. 3 Get children must be inclusive. I'd be able to approach you at any given point of time. Before, it's very important to take on adult and child roads based on situations and make each child feel intrusive at all on the decision making that you do. You want to feel welcome and acceptable and have a beautiful family relationship around you. Follow the navigator and save this tree for more. Grant, thank you.
As parents, I feel most of us through our lives keep juggling between the right and wrong.
Gratefully, I realised sooner that it is just about perspectives and if we are just present in the moment, giving our children the space to be who they are and who they are meant to be and guiding them in their way wherever they seek assistance from us, we have done great parenting.
Physical Intimacy like hugs and cuddles and encouragement for small wins can make them welcomed and feel heard and most of the issues sort before they become bigger and lead to disasters.

“Co-parenting is not a competition. It’s a collaboration of two homes working together with the best interest of the child at heart. Work for your kids, not against them.”

Co-parenting is challenging in an environment where there's resentment stemming from the failed relationship. A conversation must be held, to "clear the air" so that the chapter is closed. Then both parents must intentionally commit to setting aside their differences and prioritizing the wellbeing of their children. It helps to have a clear plan regarding maintenance/ financial responsibility (who takes care of what), visitation (when and where), schooling etc. This is so that there are no assumptions. Mutual respect is also important.

I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to speak at the recent EmpowaMen Summit, where I discussed the rights of fathers in co-parenting situations. It was a privilege to engage with a community that is as passionate as I am about the importance of fatherhood and the critical role it plays in the lives of #children.
During my talk, I emphasized the necessity of understanding and prioritizing the #interests of children when co-parenting. It’s essential that both parents #collaborate to ensure the emotional and psychological well-being of their children, which often means navigating complex dynamics with #empathy and #respect.
The feedback and insightful conversations that followed were incredibly affirming. It’s clear that creating #supportive environments for co-parenting not only strengthens individual family units but also our community as a whole. I am inspired by the commitment I saw at the summit and am hopeful for the positive changes we can continue to make as parents.
I’m curious…. How do you navigate co-parenting challenges, and what strategies have you found effective?

We take for granted as adults how we talk about how we feel so it's great to hear from Dr Bettina Hohnen about ways to foster a #culture at home, of #openness and #trust so that children get more comfortable with talking about their #emotions - critical as we are in #WellbeingWeek
