Can color save lives? This is a great safety guide for children swimming in lakes and swimming pools. The color of the bathing suit can make it easier or more difficult to see children while they are swimming. Alive Solutions tested 14 swimsuits in a pool and a lake to see how visible they were beneath water. They found that certain colors can mean the difference of being able to immediately find your child should they disappear under the surface. Solid bright neon colors like neon yellow, lime green, and orange were the most visible. But other colors, especially blues, greens, and white, virtually disappeared. Practically, the brighter the color, the better because you can easily spot a person in need.
