**** End of the year practices ***** For many years, as the festive season approaches and the year draws to a close, I have embraced a cherished tradition with my team—and now with my clients. We gather for a moment of reflection and connection. Together, we revisit the year that has passed, exploring both the professional and personal milestones that have shaped our journey. We celebrate the wins—taking time to acknowledge achievements, big and small, and truly savor the progress made. It’s a chance to honor the effort, dedication, and resilience that made these successes possible. Then, with honesty and humility, we examine what didn’t go as well. With a hand on our hearts, we reflect on what could have been done better and identify the lessons these experiences have taught us. This is not a space for criticism but for growth and learning. Finally, we turn our gaze forward. With an actual pen and paper in hand, we commit our goals for the coming year to paper. This tangible act, combined with a moment of visualization and belief in these aspirations, transforms them from fleeting thoughts into clear, actionable intentions. This tradition is powerful. It closes the year with gratitude and reflection, while paving the way for the next chapter with clarity and purpose. It’s a ritual that blends celebration, learning, and hope—setting a positive, intentional tone for the year ahead. What traditions do you uphold for this time? Let's share! www.exzellia.com

The end of the year feels like one big paradox, doesn’t it? 🎄✨ We’re all tired… but inspired. Grateful… but reflective. December is magical, but let’s be honest—it’s also exhausting. For hospitality professionals, it’s: ✔️ Long hours of making everyone’s holidays unforgettable 🎁 ✔️ Smiling through the chaos when things don’t go as planned 😅 ✔️ Saying “Happy Holidays” a hundred times while barely catching your breath💨 And yet, there’s nothing like seeing a family light up because you created a moment they’ll never forget. That’s why we do what we do. But as we approach the new year, let’s take a moment for ourselves too: 🌟 Reflect on what we’ve achieved. 🌟 Celebrate the resilience we’ve shown. 🌟 Recognize that we’ve made an impact, even when it felt like no one noticed. Here’s the truth: behind every “Thank you, this was perfect!” is someone like you—who cared enough to go the extra mile. So here’s to us. The ones who bring the magic, even when we’re running on empty. If this resonates with you, share it with your team or tag a colleague who inspires you. Let’s end 2024 on a high note. ⭐ ✨

Amid the flurry of holiday preparations, it’s easy to forget this simple truth: Progress is built not just in action, but in reflection. Take a moment to step back and celebrate what you’ve accomplished—not just the big wins, but the quiet persistence, the lessons learned, and the connections made along the way. This holiday season, let’s practice the power of pause. Ask yourself: What was your proudest moment this year? What challenges stretched your limits and helped you grow? How will you carry these lessons into the future? The greatest gift we can give ourselves is the time to reflect and reimagine what’s possible.

🎇 Happy 4th of July Weekend! 🎇 As we kicked off the holiday weekend yesterday, it's a great time to reflect on the values of freedom, independence, and community that define our nation. For those of us in sales, these principles can also be a guiding force in our professional lives. Here are a few tips to keep in mind as you enjoy the celebrations: 1️⃣ Embrace Independence: Use this time to think about how you can innovate and take ownership of your sales strategies. Independence in thought and action often leads to the most creative solutions. 2️⃣ Celebrate Your Wins: Just like we celebrate our country's achievements, take a moment to acknowledge your own victories, big or small. Recognition fuels motivation and drives future success. 3️⃣ Strengthen Relationships: Holidays are a perfect time to reconnect with clients and colleagues. A simple message or call can reinforce bonds and show your genuine appreciation for their support. 4️⃣ Recharge and Reflect: Use the long weekend to recharge your batteries. A well-rested mind is crucial for approaching the second half of the year with renewed energy and focus. 5️⃣ Plan Ahead: While enjoying the festivities, spare a thought for your upcoming goals. A little bit of planning now can set you up for a stellar performance in Q3 and Q4. I hope everyone had a safe, joyous, and inspiring 4th of July! Let's continue to strive for greatness and freedom in all we do. #IndependenceDay #SalesTips #ClientAppreciation #CelebrateSuccess #RechargeAndReflect

Here’s the thing: unlike traditional events like a potluck or a gallery night that require weeks (sometimes months) of effort to align schedules and build momentum, Christmas offers a unique opportunity. If someone doesn’t have plans, they don’t have plans. And if you offer a warm, inviting place to be, they’ll show up. And when your first event hits, it’s not just about that moment. It creates a ripple effect. Those people will remember the vibe, the camaraderie, and they’ll want to join your future events. Christmas isn’t just about gifts and traditions. It’s about creating experiences that leave people feeling seen and valued. And when you do that? You’re not just hosting a party; you’re building something meaningful that lasts far beyond the holidays. So, if you’ve got the time and the heart, think about hosting your own version of an Orphan Christmas. You never know the connections it could spark or the memories it’ll create. What are your plans for this holiday season? As the year ends, I wanted to take a moment to send you my warmest wishes for a joyful and peaceful festive season. I hope this time brings you moments of rest, love, and happiness with those who matter most to you, your loved ones. As we step into 2025, I’ve been reflecting on the importance of guarding our focus, professional & personal growth, and the search for meaning and purpose. On a personal note, I’ve set a few resolutions that I’d love to share with you. Stay Connected: Nurture meaningful relationships and keep supporting each other through the challenges and triumphs of life. Pursue growth: embrace learning and seek opportunities to become a better version of myself every day. Give Back: Continue to contribute in ways that uplift others and make a positive impact in my community and beyond. Celebrate the Journey: Remember to cherish the little wins and take time to enjoy the process, not just the destination. Thank you for being a part of my journey this year. Your presence, support, and shared moments have truly meant a lot to me. I’m looking forward to everything the new year has in store for us. Wishing you and your loved ones a festive season filled with warmth and cheer and a new year that brings you success, health, and happiness.

As I headed off to board my flight to New Zealand to assist one of my clients, I noticed how the Christmas decorations have started to appear everywhere (yes it was the 1st of Dec as I left). Listening to clients, random people, the voice in my own head, it highlighted the fact that December is basically 'two ends of the same stick' for most people. This time is either; ✔ The busiest time of the year for their business (or life) ✔ The time of the year they prepare to slow down Some people are looking back at 2024 lamenting; ❌ All the things that went wrong ❌ All the things they didn't do before the end of the year Some people are looking forward to 2025 think about; 🚀 How this is going to be their best year ever 🚀 There is so many wonderful things / experiences awaiting for them. So which one are you as it relates to the fast approaching end of the year? Are you; A. - Looking forward to your best year ever in many if not all parts of your life? B - Trying to put the 'funk' of 2024 behind you, ruminating on what didn't go as planned. Put your answer in the comments (A or B) P.S. No matter what happened for you this year, this is the way it was meant to unfold. If I was wrong, you would have had different things happen for you! 🤣

😁 A September post arriving in December 📢 But if you are like me and are still tying up some lose ends you might like this. The days of the year is basically a collection of key dates within the year, celebrated widely. Keyword here is "widely". Because, depending on where you are in the world, some of these days may not apply to you. If you are in PR or marketing you know, key dates can be leveraged to engage stakeholders or boost brand visibility, but there is a finesse to this. Here are 6 things to keep in mind, when using this resource: 🔑 Join in and celebrate key dates that resonate with your stakeholders. 🔑 Ensure that what you choose to celebrate actually aligns with your core values. 🔑 Have a clear and measurable plan in place when you decide to leverage any of these key dates for business. Think, "what is the business value?" 🔑 Take into consideration the cultural appropriateness of each day you choose to celebrate in relation to your location. 🔑 Don't over-do it. For instance celebrating 20 days out of a calendar month of 30 days is overdoing it, even 10 is questionable but use your discretion. 🔑 Don't forget to weave in storytelling. Celebrations thrive off stories make sure yours is heard. Now, tell me 💡 What key dates did you discover through this resource? How valuable have you found it? If it's not too late, integrate it to your marketing plan for 2025, finance may not be happy but you could at least try 🤭 . The worst that could happen is that they'd say no and that's ok. https://lnkd.in/eDx6Pq2C
