**Wine Full Name:** Chablis Premier Cru Montmains 2021 by Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin **Region Name:** Burgundy, France **Sub-region Name:** Chablis (Yonne) **Wine Making Style Info:** This Chablis Premier Cru is crafted using traditional Burgundian methods. The grapes are hand-harvested, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks to maintain the wine's pristine purity and freshness. The wine undergoes partial malolactic fermentation, which adds a creamy texture without compromising its natural acidity. **Age Info:** The Chablis Premier Cru Montmains is aged for about 12 months. The ageing process often employs a combination of stainless steel tanks and neutral oak barrels, which allows the wine to develop complexity while retaining its vibrant character. **Wine Tasting Notes:** The wine opens with aromas of citrus fruits, green apple, and a hint of flinty minerality. On the palate, it is marked by crisp acidity and flavors of lemon zest, pear, and subtle notes of white flowers. The finish is long, with a saline minerality that is characteristic of Chablis.

Don’t get me wrong, I think Stellenzicht makes great wines. But would this description of its Acheulean make any impression on a future GenZ or current Millennial consumer? I mean, what does amphora-fermented mean to them? And does it even matter? Sell wines differently. Make it less complicated. The ones we tried to impress then, the Baby Boomers, the ones who subscribed to the T&Cs of the Judgement of Paris, those ones, are either dead, much much older and drink less or stopped drinking completely. They were into these type of descriptions. Take the consumer instead on the journey from grape to glass. Make them part of your story. Sell the wine long before it’s in the bottle. So that when they go to the store, they go there with their minds already made up. Sell them peace of mind. Sell them trust… #digitalise #securitytokens #data #ecommerce #decentralisation

This is the biggest mistake in the alcohol industry, and it puts a bitter taste on my palate. And that is... Making the flavor profile the key marketing point for any product. Sure, flavor is important. You want your consumers to know that your product tastes good, but after so many glasses the taste doesn't matter anymore. On a deeper level your flavor profile doesn't make you stand out in the marketplace. Let's face it, if you put Jim Beam and Buffalo trace side by side they already know to expect "smooth vanilla and the oakiness of a charred barrel. Makes you wonder how with almost 3800 distilleries in just the US how any craft brewer, distiller, or winemaker can continue to keep up in their market. #winebeer #Spirits #barrelaged #distillery #brewery #winery #marketing
