Do I belong here? I am reading Lauren Welsey Wilson's book, What Do you Need? How women of color can take ownership of their careers to accelerate their path to success and so many nuggets to grab onto. So often, in professional spaces, women of color have to prove themselves so much more than their colleagues. There isn't room to mess up. But many times, as Lauren mentioned, we don't take time to ensure that we actually belong in the jobs we are in. Do we feel supported? Is there a path of success for those who look like me? What kind of mentorship is available? Have you asked yourself if you belong at your current job? I highly recommend Lauren's book if you haven't checked it out: https://lnkd.in/e7uAZJCd #professionaldevelopment #careerdevelopment #careerjourney

Women face challenges getting the recognition they deserve. Research confirms that women often need to work harder than men to get noticed. Here's how we can change that narrative: Define Success: → Clearly define what success looks like in your role. → Align with your manager on the key projects and metrics that matter. → Document these goals and regularly review your progress against them. Showcase Your Achievements: → Don't hesitate to speak about your own successes. → Share positive client feedback with your manager and look for opportunities to present your work at company-wide meetings. → Visibility is crucial. Celebrate Your Success: → Acknowledge your own accomplishments. → Keeping a record can boost your confidence and inspire others. → Share your achievements within your network and let them cheer you on. Join Us: https://lnkd.in/gkYmwcxp Let's empower each other to create a workplace where every woman's contribution is recognised and valued.

Women's History Month is less than 30 days away...is your organization ready to celebrate and empower women? Here are four things you can plan to do in the month of March: -Hire a career coach to develop a personalized acceleration plan for your high-potential women, ensuring they will have the tools and guidance needed to advance in their career. -Expand your commitment by organizing events or lunches for allies, creating a space for open dialogue and the introduction of new ways to advocate. -Elevate the conversation by hosting a virtual or in-person speaker, to introduce innovative concepts that inspire and women in the workplace. -Encourage knowledge-sharing and growth by providing your team with a thought-provoking book authored by a woman, sparking discussions that transcend the pages. Here is a link to my book, "A Cure for Career Quicksand." https://lnkd.in/gwRXPgHH Together, these initiatives will not only celebrate Women's History Month but also contribute to building a more inclusive, productive, and thriving workplace. If you need more ideas or you're seeking a dynamic speaker to amplify these messages and ignite positive change, direct message me to to schedule a free 30-minute call. #RCC #ReaganCannonConsulting #MotivationalSpeaker #CareerCoach #WomensHistoryMonth

On Tuesday, February 20th, I will be hosting a workshop on how to "Power-up your Executive Presence." Are you asking yourself these questions? -Why is Executive Presence so important? -What actually is Executive Presence? -Is Executive Presence something I can learn? -How can I show up differently? It’s Women’s History Month, so let’s rewrite a few narratives. Breaking free from the traditional career mold has been a game-changer in my journey, and I want to share a few tips for propelling YOUR career forward. ✅ Discard those outdated belief systems that no longer serve you. Like your personal story, your career is unique and deserves to be built on your terms. As they say, “If it ain’t serving me, then it ain’t for me.” ✅ Taking action IS the catalyst for change. ➡️ Once you start taking small actions and small steps outside your comfort zone, you will start to feel so powerful and confident in your capabilities to move your career forward. ✅ You’re amazing, and the world should know. We as women, especially women of color, too often let societal, gender, and cultural pressures cause us to do or not do things in our careers. Ladies, you have every right to be confident professionals, unapologetically putting your needs first. The idea that we must endure misery, or worse, for the sake of a resume? It's a myth. 🚨 This Women’s History Month, I encourage you to continue your growth with the incredible CCWomen platform and their flagship Customer Contact Week series this June in Las Vegas. ✈️ 🎰 This event is not just a conference; it's a transformative experience where powerful women come together to share insights, strategies, and support. Empowerment isn’t just discussed; it’s lived. 💪🏽 See you in Las Vegas! #CCWVegas #CustomerContactWeek #WomensHistoryMonth #WomeninBusiness #WomeninCX #EmpoweredWomen
