The JSCC Police Department recently hosted a regional police leadership training course, allowing 21 officers from three states to get certified. “This was a great opportunity for the law enforcement community across the region to receive top-tier training from a nationally recognized organization,” said JSCC Chief of Police Aaron Patton. “Officers from Kentucky, Missouri, and across Tennessee were able to receive this training on a premiere college campus thanks to this partnership, and that’s not something you see with many of these trainings. We’re proud to host these officers and look forward to offering more training courses to fulfill the need across our region.” Read more about the training at https://ow.ly/cqVO50Upp8z

Today, our Managing Director, Fred W. Meyer, MA, CJM, CCHP, led an impactful session at the AJA’s Elevating Leadership Skills Summit for Jail Professionals, titled "Interdisciplinary Leadership: Preventing In-Custody Deaths." The key takeaway? Working in silos doesn’t foster high-quality care— in fact, it can lead to adverse outcomes. At NCCHC Resources, we believe in the power of collaboration. Our team of consultants includes a wide range of experts—doctors, nurses, psychologists, security specialists, and data analysts—because every discipline deserves a seat at the table when addressing complex issues in correctional health care. By breaking down silos and embracing interdisciplinary teamwork, we can better support safe and healthy environments for those in custody.

While working on my 2nd Masters degree, I was nominated to join the NSLS. I just submitted my first "SNT" report (1 of 3) for induction into The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). One of the many requirements for induction is to attend or listen to various speaker broadcasts. I throughly enjoyed Gov Schwarzenegger's principles in his broadcast. They are solid: Have a Vison - Trust your vision and have the courage to break the rules Work Hard - There are no short cuts Don't be afraid to fail - You can't always win, but you shouldn't be afraid to make decisions Have a Clear Vison - Set goals and have a clear vision Be positive - Lean into positive thinking and ignore the negative Communicate clearly - Have good listening skills Shift gears - Know how to adjust when you hit a road block #privateinvestigator, #digitalforensicexaminer, #processserver, #certifiedinternationalinvestigator, #certifiedprofessionalcriminalinvestigator, #criminaldefenseinvestigator #computerhackingforensicinvestigator, #certifiedethicalhacker, #certifiedfraudexaminer, #securityconsultant, #convergentsecurityconsulting, #globalsecurity, #firearmsinstructor, #westtexas, #highplains, #combatveteran, #veteranownedbusiness, #internationalrelations

The Institute for Law Enforcement Administration (ILEA) Texas Sergeant Academy in Georgetown, Texas, promises to be an impactful two-week training for first-line supervisors. Chief Cory Tchida and his team ( Lt. Rene A. Sgt. Craig Ryan) are preparing to host an interactive and engaging experience for law enforcement first-line leaders. The partnership with the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool (TMLIRP) is a great addition, ensuring that this training is well-supported and valuable to the participants. This type of training not only focuses on leadership and supervision but also creates a space for sharing knowledge, building relationships, and expanding networks, which are crucial for developing effective leaders in law enforcement. I’m sure the new group of law enforcement leaders will leave better equipped to handle the challenges of their roles! I hope to see you in Georgetown,TX (Jan. 27- Feb.7, 2025)
