PowerCell Group’s Post

We are excited to see the European Commission’s €4.8 billion grant dedicated to net-zero projects, with a strong emphasis on renewable hydrogen and maritime solutions. With support from the EU Innovation Fund, projects in 18 European countries aim to cut nearly 476 million tonnes of CO₂ in their first ten years of operation. To put this figure into context, it's equivalent to the annual emissions from 120 coal-fired power plants. Victor Åkerlund, Chief Analytics and Sustainability Officer at PowerCell Group, comments: “This grant is a powerful boost for net-zero projects, driving the shift to a commercial and OEM-focused market. This forward-thinking investment aligns with our mission to provide sustainable hydrogen electric solutions for sectors that are tough to decarbonise, reducing both local air pollution and CO₂ emissions”. PowerCell Group stands ready to enable the energy transition, with our hydrogen fuel cells delivering the capacity to tackle energy challenges through clean, efficient, and reliable power.
