🌍 Double victory in EU funding for our green hydrogen projects 🌿💰 🎉 Another milestone achieved! We have been awarded our second EU grant this year, bringing a total of NOK 210 million (approximately €18.2 million) of EU funding dedicated to pioneering green hydrogen projects across Europe. 🌐 This latest grant of €9.2 million, awarded to our subsidiary, VIREON, is a game-changer. It will support the establishment of a network of green hydrogen production and refueling stations across Finland and Denmark. Last Monday, together with members of Invest International’ team our colleagues Oscar Boot, Guido Minnaert and Evert Jan Van Vrouwerff took part in a session on "Financing & GH2 Projects" at the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition, taking place in #Rotterdam. The session brought together industry leaders to discuss the financing needs and opportunities for Dutch suppliers in #GreenHydrogen projects across emerging markets. Invest International and Atradius Dutch State Business shared in a round table insights into export and project financing, essential for enabling Dutch companies to succeed in the green hydrogen sector. During the session practical guidance was given on navigating the complexities of financing large-scale green hydrogen projects, which are necessary drivers for companies playing an active role in this rapidly evolving industry. #Hydrogen is increasingly seen as a vital component in transitioning to a low-carbon economy, particularly in sectors like transportation, industry, and energy storage. And investing in hydrogen infrastructure and technologies can significantly contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and addressing #climatechange. The Netherlands, with its strong expertise in engineering, #renewableenergy, and maritime infrastructure, is well-positioned to play a leading role in the financing and development of hydrogen projects. Dutch exporters can contribute by providing cutting-edge technologies, equipment, and expertise needed for hydrogen production, storage, and transportation. But there are also challenges. Hydrogen projects often require significant upfront #investment due to the costs associated with production, storage, and distribution #infrastructure. Obtaining financing for these projects is crucial as it stimulates innovation, ultimately lowering costs and making hydrogen more competitive with conventional #fossilfuels. In November 2024, Johan Elegheert, Managing Director of TPF Utilities, participated in the Belgian Economic Mission to Brazil alongside João Recena, Ricardo Carvalho, and André Jabir Assumpção from TPF Engenharia. The mission allowed the establishment of new relations with Belgian entrepreneurs, strengthen the collaboration with colleagues from Brazil, and gather insights into the many upcoming projects in the country focused on engineering services, particularly those related to decarbonization for the future.   As experts in fuel cells and electrolysis, TPF Utilities also participated in panel discussions and workshops on the development of infrastructure for hydrogen projects. Our team was honoured to meet Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, introducing her to our rapidly expanding company and our motivation to make the difference in reducing the CO2 footprint of our public and private clients. The ongoing development of services for projects producing synthetic fuels based on hydrogen, such as Ammonia and Biomethanol, is an essential part of this mission.   In today’s global context, where energy independence is more important than ever, TPF also believes this development and evolution is of great importance for its strategic clients, both in Belgium and across Europe.
