The quantum & physics tech conversation often gets caught between the hope of the possible and the reality of meeting customer needs today. This week's Austin Next is a recording of a panel from Quantonation's Austin Day where I was joined by leaders from Strangeworks (William Hurley), Qunnect (Noel Goddard), Pasqal (Wasiq Bokhari), and TAU Systems (Bjorn Manuel Hegelich) to explore this tension. We discussed: 🔹Deep Tech Communication 🔹Scientific-Business Divide 🔹Hype vs Market Reality vs Innovation Progress 🔹Solving Customer Problems Today 🔹The Role of Patience 🔹Infrastructure and Horizontal Tech 🔹And of course What's Next Find the full episode here: [https://lnkd.in/eAqhjDmy] & on all major podcast platforms

"After the laws of physics, everything else is an opinion." (unsure of origin) Interestingly, some of the most influential folks, like Edward Deming and Eliyahu Goldratt, were trained physicists. The best way to understand a business problem is to think like a physicist. Why? Physics is the foundation to explain & explore interactions. What is business at its core? A structured interaction between many physical "things." Business requires a transfer of energy from one thing to many others to set off a cascade of secondary and tertiary interactions that take various energy inputs and create some physical output when set off in the "right" (human-planned) way. Much of Deming and Goldratt's concepts are based on the first principle: asymmetry is the default expectation, and symmetry is a non-natural outcome. The aspect of the StarTalk Podcast below that has the most appreciable takeaway is the discussion about symmetry. All too often, people like to think and make claims that things should be symmetrical. In reality, the physical world is asymmetric. Here are ways to think like a physicist in your daily life -> https://lnkd.in/ehgqUm35

What's funny? #UFOs/#UAPs propulsion systems on are based on the CTPSci Sciences discovered by Drazen, unsung successor to Nikola Tesla. Both Keating and Weinstein would likely reject both such claims from the get-go. The irony. INTO THE IMPOSSIBLE Podcast @Into_Impossible Why do we reject new ideas in science? Is string theory really the endgame? Join @DrBrianKeating and @EricRWeinstein as we tackle these big questions and more (https://lnkd.in/etikU7ch) #newscience #goodscience #badscience #greatscience
