Power of One - Animal Welfare’s Post

As April marks National Stress Awareness Month, we want to shed light on the immense challenges faced by front-line rescue workers. The theme for 2024 is #LittleByLittle, which highlights the transformative impact of consistent, small positive actions can have. Recently, we introduced you to Oriana Samuelsen, a firefighter whose journey took her from the highways of Washington State to the streets of Iraq, where she encountered the brave street dog, Big Girl, and her pack. Oriana's journey led her to WarPaws, where she continues to care for these vulnerable animals, despite the inevitable heartaches. Witnessing cruelty and neglect takes its toll, compounded by the constant financial struggles of running an animal rescue shelter. However, through awareness and support, we can make a difference. Ultimately, the work of small rescue groups and charities is about more than just saving individual dogs. It's about creating a world in which animals are valued and respected and in which their welfare is protected. We believe that by working together and supporting these organisations, we can make this vision a reality and create a better world for all animals. If you're looking for a way to make a difference, consider donating to The Power of One today. Your support can help us continue to provide vital resources and support for the amazing rescue workers.
