Recently, there has been an unfortunate trend happening in our industry, that of some folks pushing a narrative that franchise offices are somehow divorced from the areas they serve. That could not be further from the truth. Local Franchisees are local business owners. They employ local people, volunteer for local organizations, and donate to local causes. At CarePatrol of Western Michigan - Capital Region, our team of Care Transition Managers have spent much of their career in healthcare working in our territory. They have long-standing roots in the local healthcare industry. In my case, our territory encompasses my hometown, the place I went to college, and the cities where I worked my first jobs. I served in local government in a township that our franchise currently operates in. The advantage of the a franchise is that our locally owned offices have a larger network of resources and fellow-placement agents that can provide uniform services to our clients. We can help connect folks to people who share our values and conform to our processes, generating the best outcomes possible.

What's the one thing that changes everything in senior care? It's not just about the care we give, but the conversations we have! Today's chat is all about the heart of great care: 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. I had the chance to bring our wonderful PSW Edna to meet Jenny, the daughter of one of our clients. Jenny's been her dad's rock, his primary caregiver, and she knows the ins and outs of his daily needs like nobody else. At Proximity Care, we don't just drop by to deliver care; we dive deep into conversation. 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘺 is our motto, and it starts with these face-to-face moments where we align our care with the family's insights. It's all about being on the same page, from family members to our PSWs to clients like Jenny's dad. ↳ Because when we talk, we learn.
