interview prep for tomorrow! IN FINNISH. My level is A2. For any immigrant who has not done this but might, I am writing some advice how to prepare. I am not an expert as this is my 1st interview in Finnish but I am certainly willing to give it a go! On my note tablet (Remarkable) I have written short bulletpoints in Finnish to each possible question that I will be asked. I will then try to talk around the answer as well as read the bulletpoints during the interview so that the interviewer can see ive prepared. I have had a meeting with 3 people this week, to ask, how best to prepare for this. my hot takeaways. *Irina taught me - how to release the 'stuck' feeling and show that language doesn't flow during stress. *Someone (not named) from a business role, taught me today how to utilise my skills with the job description. *My regular Finnish teacher Kata will correct my Finnish tonight if needed and do a mock interview with me. Tomorrow is all about learning this new experience and hopefully getting this exciting job. 🙏 I'll update on how it went! How many of you have experienced an interview in Finnish as a non-native? what tips do you have for others reading this?

Lost on how to approach Oxbridge interview prep? Your destination is fluency. -> The vast majority of Oxbridge applicants waste their time preparing for interviews, because they don’t understand the basic principle they should be working towards: fluency. Fluency is the ability to pick up a completely new scenario within your subject and analyse it using the related principles you do know. -> Fluency is not just knowing lots about your subject, although that does help; It's a skill You can’t memorise your way to fluency anympre than you can memorise your way to bring a great writer. You need to practice. With this in mind, you need to spend as much time as possible forcing yourself to systematically analyse new situations and make predictions. -> This is what the tutors are going to put you through in the real thing so this is what you need to practice. You can do this through: - Mock interviews - Discussing the subject with your friends - Debating ChatGPT - Analysing texts out loud

✨4 Rules to break in a job interview ✨ 1️⃣ Never answer, “What are your salary expectations? “or “What are you currently making?” Always say, “What is the position paying?” 2️⃣ Don’t wait until the end of the interview to ask your questions. Asking questions throughout the interview makes you looks qulaifed and the interview will feel more conversational. 3️⃣ When you go into a job interview, don’t think to yourself, “I hope they like me.” “I hope they pick me.” Instead tell yourself, “They’d be lucky to have me.” 4️⃣ Never put your hands in your lap or under the table. Command your side of the table and take up space. According to body language science you will will look and feel more confident if you take up more space. 🎯Transform your job hunt with AI!
