Modern advertising organizations have the goal in mind to be “data powered.” Why? Because data is the fuel to their campaigns that translate to positive results. There’s no other way around it. To become effectively data-powered, you better believe they have to put in the work. An important first step for agencies and brands is to structure their data foundation for scale. Eric Mayhew makes the point that “Understanding the interplay between data complexity and data volume is critical if your teams are going to increase capacity without increasing costs or headcount. Advertisers must therefore adopt scalable data architectures that can handle both complexities and volumes seamlessly, and structure them in a way that supports scalability.” This is the key.
