War Begins!! - AI War Begins!. I guess many of you witnessed recent developments on Google I/O and Open AI GPT -4o. Here are some snippets from Google I/O KeyNote Conference https://lnkd.in/dEZQyY9H AI Overviews: This is a revolutionary change for Google Search. It utilizes a custom-built Gemini AI model to generate summaries directly on the search result page. These summaries, called AI Overviews, aim to answer your questions in a comprehensive way, saving you time from jumping through multiple links. Enhanced Google Photos Search with AI: While details are scarce, it seems Google is leveraging AI to improve searching within Google Photos. This could involve features like recognizing objects, scenes, or even facial expressions in your photos, making them easier to find based on specific criteria. Google Workspace Labs: This is likely a platform for exploring experimental features within Google Workspace applications like Gmail, Docs, and Calendar. It allows Google to test new functionalities and gather user feedback before a wider rollout. NotebookLM: There isn't a lot of public information about NotebookLM yet. However, based on the name, it could be a tool that integrates AI capabilities into digital notebooks. Imagine being able to ask your notebook questions about your notes, summarize them automatically, or even generate different creative text formats based on your note content. Generative Media: Imagen 3: Dubbed Google's most sophisticated text-to-image model yet, Imagen 3 boasts superior quality and photorealism. Veo: This is Google's latest video generation model. It can create high-definition videos (1080p) in various cinematic styles based on text descriptions. Trillium: Computing Power 6th Generation CPU. Improving Compute Performance.

Google ushers in the era of multi modality in Ai into multi media like never imaginable before.. under the hood the Gemini model has mixture of experts where each feed forward network acts as a specialised neural network capable of diverting each media type input to specialised nodes and now we have a context window of 2 million.. that’s like a 1500 page pdf or longer audio or videos to interact with.. was there ever a better time to live in the era of emerging tech 😍 https://lnkd.in/ecXS2bJd

We are glad to congratulate Hyerin Kim for successfully completing her Google Summer of Code 2024 project on extending the NR module (5G-LENA) with AI/ML capabilities, through the integration with the ns3-gym and the implementation of RL-based MAC schedulers. The Merge Request !166 (https://lnkd.in/daJN5uxE) includes Hyerin’s work and is currently in the final revision process. It is expected to be merged into the nr module’s master branch very soon. Her mentors: Katerina Koutlia, Amir Ashtari, Gabriel Ferreira Biljana Bojovic. Summary of her project here: Hyerin’s work builds on her background in AI/ML during her Master studies and is mainly motivated by the identification of further optimization possibilities in the already implemented QoS schedulers to increase the total user throughput and to improve user fairness. It involves the design and implementation of the RL-based schedulers, including: the interaction with the RL model; the development of a unit test; and a user example to evaluate the performance of the proposed schedulers. Results obtained with her work demonstrate the correct functionality of the schedulers, and that they can outperform the existing QoS schedulers. read more here : https://lnkd.in/d3UfaHST
