Here at Praxis, our campaigning work is led by and co-produced with the No Recourse to Public Funds Action group. They are a group of campaigners with lived experience of the immigration system, fighting for equality, justice, and fairness for all. This year the group continued the campaign for childcare for all families, no matter their immigration status. After protest rights training, they organised and executed a stunt outside Parliament. They shared their expertise at panels, rallies, and even spoke directly to civil servants about the detrimental impact of hostile immigration policies on their children.

What does the UK government mean by ‘far right’? Today, the UK government labels all those who are taking part in the riots as ‘far right’. Some of them I guess, most of them are actually ‘far right’, although I think some of them actually haven’t even really thought out any ideologies. They’re doing it because that’s what they feel like. But there’s a growing number of people who don’t take part in riots yet are also saying “enough is enough” when it comes to mass immigration and multiculturalism. #churchleadership #FarRight #governmentcontrol #jesus #politics #salvation #SignsOfTheTimes https://lnkd.in/e2BDJDfG

Trump was right from the beginning Biden said he would put on the path to citizenship 11 million undocumented immigrants. Remember when they were "crusading"? Calling them "dreamers"? Doing the "marketing and advertising" "heart string pulling" to achieve their goals? When they are fair they turn into a Desantis vs Grewsome. #bordercrisis #bordercrisis #migrants #trump #trump2024 #biden #desantis #newsom #politics #democrats #republicans #democracy #advertisingandmarketing #leadership #leadershipmatters

I was particularly disturbed by the impact of temporary migrant visas. ❓may be enabling human trafficking ❓systemic migrant exploitation ❓modern slavery Let’s be clear, this is not aimed at any political party in particular; this is how NZ Inc has been operating for a while. This is not ok. This is not something I ever imagined I would read about NZ. And there are impacts for all New Zealanders: ✅ Infrastructure ✅ Roads/Public transport ✅ Schools ✅ Healthcare Apparently successive governments don’t count temporary migrants in the numbers because, well, they’re temporary… Meanwhile… 😢Schools are bursting at the seams rotating which classes will attend in person on any given day because there isn’t enough space for everyone. 😢 People are staying in hospital corridors because they’re well over-capacity. 😢 Infrastructure is not keeping pace with the population; when it rains in AKLD we have a poonami🤢 and Wellington (and no doubt other cities) face similar challenges.

We aren't who we think we are. Our main source of nominal economic growth in the last couple of years was based on a guest worker scheme described by our Human Rights Commission as akin to modern slavery.

🚨Today our Director Alphonsine Kabagabo hand-delivered a very important letter to 10 Downing Street together with Directors from Southall Black Sisters Imkaan Hibiscus Initiatives and others to urge govt to tackle the root causes of far-right riots. The letter backed by 65 organisations outlines urgent demands the Prime Minister must carry out to protect communities following the racist and Islamophobic riots Demands to the Prime Minister include: ❌Ensure urgent protection for places at risk of far-right violence; ❌Immediate suspension of in-person immigration reporting and all other appointments; ❌Immediately recall Parliament to ensure a streamlined, national response; ❌Acknowledge that the riots are a product of decades of hostility towards immigrants and minorities in the UK, stoked by Government policies and the media; and many more! Huge thanks and solidarity to Southall Black Sisters for coordinating this important response. #WelcomeEveryWoman

Large scale immigration is a solution only IF community and culture are no longer worth protecting. The West can keep destroying the extended family and communities in the name of individual freedoms and identity rights- or survive as a civilization. https://lnkd.in/gq7v2DUi

🧡 It's Human Rights Day today, and the theme for this year is: 'Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now'🧡 Despite this year's theme, the current labour government is failing on all fronts. The UK government is fueling a dangerous narrative of enforcement by ramping up deportations and expanding immigration detention centres like Campsfield and Haslar. These policies are not about safety—they perpetuate harm, strip people of their liberty, and foster systemic abuse. Have we learned nothing from the Windrush scandal? Thousands were wrongfully detained and deported, yet the machinery of detention grows despite its failures repeatedly highlighted in public inquiries like the Brook House Inquiry. 👊 It’s time to say enough. We must dismantle the systems of detention and deportation and demand a future rooted in justice, humanity, and dignity. 🔦 This is about Our Rights; Our Future; Right Now! We need funds to continue our work of building communities of solidarity with people in detention across the UK and advocating for a more humane system. Support us here: https://lnkd.in/dWK-EhqY #EndDetention #StopDeportation #HumanRight #HumandRightsDay
