We are excited to share our latest research, "Variables for Reporting Studies on Extended - Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma (E-FAST): An International Delphi Consensus Study," now published in Injury Journal. 🔍 This study, involving a Delphi process conducted on an international panel of experts, aims to standardize the key variables for designing future research on the pre-hospital use of E-FAST ultrasound in trauma patients. The development of these variables is crucial for advancing the comparison of data across studies and improving the clinical utility of E-FAST in emergency and pre-hospital settings. 🔑 Key highlights: A consensus-based set of 32 variables that cover system, patient, process, imaging, and outcome dimensions. Enhanced standardization to facilitate more reliable and comparable research in pre-hospital emergency care. From chairing groundbreaking discussions at the #ESCCongress to being selected for the European Heart Academy's Leadership and Innovation programme #DASCAM, each moment reinforced a crucial truth: the future of healthcare lies in collaboration and continuous learning. Three moments that defined my journey: 1. European Society of Cardiology Congress 2024: Chairing "Great Debates" on implantable cardiac device technologies, where we didn't just discuss innovations—we challenged the entire field to think differently.
