Support on the road! It’s #NationalDayOfEncouragement! Boost morale on those long hauls with these three ways truckers can show encouragement to one another: 1. Share road wisdom: Offer tips and advice through social media or radio comms to help fellow drivers navigate tricky routes or new challenges. 2. Send a shout-out: Acknowledge the hard work of your peers publicly, whether through a friendly CB radio message or a post in online trucker forums. 3. Lend a hand: If you see a fellow driver in need, whether it’s helping with a flat tire or sharing essential supplies, step in. It’s these small acts of kindness that build a supportive community. 4. Buy a Coffee: Next time you’re at a truck stop, why not buy a coffee for another trucker? A small gesture can make a big difference in someone's day. Encouragement among truckers not only boosts morale but also enhances safety and efficiency on the roads. Drive forward together and show some support along the way! #MotivationOnTheMove #TruckerCheers #PremierBulkSystems #PositiveDriving #SpreadPositivity #TruckersLife #HeartfeltHighway

Use the SANTA Productivity Method™ to smash it like the big lad in 2025: S: Optimise your schedule. Rest for 364½ days, work for one night. Promote your most diligent elves to manage continual toy output. A: Abstain from alcohol. Accept the milk and cookies left for you on behalf of your reindeer. Regift the whiskey to your workers — they’ve earned it. N: Create a naughty/nice matrix. Draw a grid with a nice-to-naughty axis, and an ingress-difficulty axis. Prioritise drop-offs to nice kids with narrow chimneys. T: Use time-boxing. As Dickens’ Law states, time expands to fill the number of presents to be delivered, regardless of congestion or pending roadworks. A: 10x your availability. Franchise the in-person model to maximise time-on-knee for good boys and girls. Deploy Santas where cheer is least abundant. #productivity #overwhelm

Take a Stand Today was an amazing day for me. I was on my way back home, from work and I ran into a scenic view of a woman arguing with a man on the footpath. This is a narrow footpath alongside a service road, adjacent to 3 residential properties. It was dark and drizzling, with moderate traffic on the service road. The man, was on a two-wheeler, he was a food delivery representative riding on the footpath to save time (I suppose). I almost walked past them in a rush to reach home, as I had a work meeting to attend to, within a matter of a few minutes. As I crossed the lady, I heard her argument, she insisted that the footpath is for pedestrians and not an alternative path for vehicles. Just as I looked around, I saw how everyone, like me, saw her and left. While she stood her ground alone, seeking no help from anyone. I thought to myself, "she's right, why isn't anyone supporting her?" By the second thought, I turned and took a stand. It took an additional 15 minutes, but by the end, the delivery representative turned around and got back on the road. It takes just that much to stand for the right cause. To do the right thing doesn't require external validation, it requires courage, intent and action. I'm glad of who I am today. At one point I would hesitate to take a stand within my own space of trust - at home. Today, I walk around and take a stand in support of others as well, not just for me. #stronger #causedriven #purposedriven #metaphorical #linkedinforcreators #contentcreator #principlesoflife #linkedincreator

Congratulations, Walter--you did it! You made me write a post. Today, I'll share one of the reasons why moving/transportation companies have a reputation for ripping people off. I recently won a truck on auction by accident (story for another time). Upon getting the news that I won, I received a quote from a third party offering drive-away service to transport the truck to me. This guy Walter claimed his drive-away service was the best way to get me my truck. His quote was $1,475 for 69 miles! Just so we're clear, drive-away service means someone picks up the truck and drops it off wherever you need it--in this case, 69 miles away from the pickup location. In a market where everyone's fighting over $2/mile loads, this guy took a page right out of Grant Cardone's book and 10x'd that shit. Since trucking is how I make a living, I knew enough to be skeptical. But, I decided to humor him (hey, it was a slow day and at least this would help pass the time). I asked him, "Can you break that quote down for me?" As soon as I asked him, he deleted the offer and disappeared! POOF! Scumbag gone! The heavens opened up and swallowed his scam offer whole. Jokes aside, there are guys like Walter at every turn. If you're on the receiving end of an insulting quote, ask them to break it down for you. Anybody who's anybody will be able to tell you EXACTLY what they're charging you for. If they are trying to rip you off, chances are they'll run for the hills. Just like Walter did. In the words of Joey Swoll: Shame on you Walter, there's a reason the general public is wary of moving/trucking companies and it's people like you. You need to do better! #moving #logistics #ripoff #KnowYourQuotes

When we find ourselves in a troubling situation, help that seems small to someone else has a major impact in our lives. Over the years this has been exemplified to me as we've many times moved from one home to another. Moving is an exhausting task, taxing mind and body to organize, pack, load onto moving vehicles, unload and unpack, then put back in order again. I always dreaded moving. I remember a large group of neighbors coming to our home to help us load our moving truck and clean the home we were leaving. Each willingly spent about an hour of their time. For them it wasn't much to give, but for us it was an enormous service. One final observation about small acts of service is that everyone who came and shared their effort and time was smiling and laughing together. So, a small act can do so much. Think of the difference a small act can make for someone who feels overwhelmed. How about for someone who is hungry or thirsty. Or someone who is alone or outcast. What can we as individuals do to help? How can we use our businesses to help? What seems small is actually quite big, and it can start today. Let's work together to Identify Good. #Service, #HelpingSomeone, #SmallandSimple, #Stewardship, #DoingGood, #IdentifyGood
