I only wanted to attract the right customers and knowing who they were and positioning my business to attract them, I optimised marketing in my unique lane, operated my business to a higher standard, delivered a better standard of service, no gimmicks, just built genuine trusted relationships with our customers and earned their loyalty. I knew that not every customer was right for my business, there was more than enough business to go around! I collaborated with and signposted the wrong fit clients to my competitors, it was important that these customers were looked after by the right service provider for their property. Being helpful is all part of being a genuine service provider. For twenty years I operated my property management business the way that I would like to be taken care of as a landlord and as a guest. Relationships that I am incredibly grateful to have built and which have continued long beyond selling that business in 2021. It’s how I still operate my business today as a business consultant.
