Seriously, who knew humans could jump that high, run that fast, or perform such gravity-defying flips? These athletes have spent years training, and it shows. It’s a masterclass in pushing limits and redefining what's possible. As the Olympics draw to a close, we’re left with memories of breathtaking performances, record-breaking feats, and the undeniable spirit of sportsmanship. Whether you’re an athlete, a professional, or someone striving to achieve personal goals, let’s channel that Olympic spirit into everything we do. Continuous improvement and dedication are the keys to success! 🏆💪 #Olympics #SelfImprovement #ContinuousLearning #WorkplaceExcellence 📷 : Esa Alexander/Reuters/CNN

What separates Olympians from regular humans? The answer is obvious, right? Incredible athletic ability. Undeniable talent. Killer instinct… Let’s face it. Most of us weren’t blessed with the speed of Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone or Noah Lyles. We don’t have the strength of Simone Biles or the stamina of Katie Ledecky. It’s taken years of work, dedication, and commitment to their craft for these athletes to reach the pinnacle of sport. But it would be silly to suggest that there isn’t a genetic component. Some people are just more physically gifted than others. But while you can’t change your genetics, there is one thing you can do to be the best version of yourself as an athlete, business owner, entrepreneur, ect. In this post, we look at a behavior study of 235 Olympians. Of three "readiness factors"- mental, physical, and technical- only ONE showed a statistically significant link to final Olympic ranking. Can you guess which it is? https://lnkd.in/dd9JQ9ZT

Less Rush. More Presence. Less Rigidity. More Suppleness. Less Noise. More Intentionality. Thinking of your values and daily intentions, What would you add to this list of Less ____ More _____? I’d love to hear. ✨ I imagine many of us adding to this list, creating one beautiful tapestry of what we all wish to bring more of into the world. 🌎 (The 3 Less & More I share above are intentions of my own. Daily practices. Gentle reminders. I’m not aiming for perfection or to rid the rush entirely. But more so heightening my awareness of when I notice I’m rushing, rigid, or adding to the ‘noise’. Awareness is key. Though not easy. I don’t always have the awareness. But I’m learning. That’s part of the adventure. The adventure we’re all on together. ☀️🌍💫 Photo: Flying to California this month to visit family and participate in an Olympic event for the Oxnard school district with a stellar group of Olympians and Paralympians. #intentionallife #selfawareness #intentionsetting #thekampfire #valuebasedliving #selftrust #olympians #paralympians #travelwithkids

Sport Psychology at the Olympics: Part 17 Injury is almost inevitable in sport, and it can around three times as long to recover mentally, as it does physically. Embracing the opportunities that injury can offer is an important step in the recovery process. Getting back to pre-injury is often a goal that is limiting, instead aiming to develop into a different athlete throughout the recovery process has proven to be much more successful. #sport #sportpsychology #athletics #heptathlon #kjt #johnson-thompson #ennis #thiam #teamgb #teamusa #paris2024 #parisolympics #paris #olympics2024 #olympics

Why our Paralympic Athletes outperforming in Paris compared to the general Olympics? A question has been lingering in my mind as to how our Para Olympians have been achieving far greater success in Paris than their able bodied counterparts in the general Olympics only recently! With physical and mental disabilities and their nurturing not in very well to do families, what factors have helped them to put their best in winning medals? These athletes had faced challenges from the moment they were classified as “disabled”. But they transformed every limitation into a driving force, developing not just physical strength but an un matched mental tenacity. They have been of a mindset that every day is battle and as such, a warrior spirit reflects in their performance. Most of these paraolympians are fueled by an inner fire to break social stereotypes. They like to be defined by their abilities, not the disabilities. The athletes in the Para Olympics compete not for fame or endorsement deals but for sheer pride and purpose. It is said that challenges create strong individuals and Paraolympians personify this adage! Their life have always been of adapting, focus and perseverance that manifests in their formidable performance on the field, track or court. For our able bodied athletes and sportspersons, it is high time to revisit our training, mental preparation and hunger for success. Watching Para Olympians, we see a great lesson in the strength of the human spirit and determination. #determination #humanspirit #performance #success #resilience

Olympic athletes are propelled by an unshakable belief in themselves and a commitment in achieving their dreams. Do your employees have that same sense of belief in your brand and the services you offer? Don't guess. Measure how confident they are in telling the stories you've crafted. Nurture belief - it’s the foundation of every great achievement. #MeasurementMatters #Olympics2024 https://lnkd.in/enHy4enJ

On Sunday, while watching the swimming meet at the Paris 2024 - Comité d'organisation des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de 2024 something incredible happened. With the TV on in the background as I worked on my computer, I suddenly heard a familiar name—one of the students I mentored during my time at Texas A&M University. The memory came rushing back: a young athlete sitting in my office, full of dreams and self-belief. "I want to become an Olympian in 2024," he declared, with a determination that was hard to ignore. It’s not every day you meet someone with such unshakeable belief in themselves. What stood out was his dream of reaching the Olympics and how he believed in his potential to make it happen. We spent our sessions discussing the #mentaltoughness required to succeed. We focused on positive self-talk, consistency, and identifying areas for growth. I told him that achieving his dream was possible, but he needed to stay consistent over the next six years until Paris. Fast forward to today, and seeing him compete on the world stage fills me with immense pride. It’s a powerful reminder that the journey to greatness is as much about cultivating the right #mindset as it is about physical training. Positive self-talk, mental toughness, and consistency are tools anyone can develop, regardless of their field. This story isn't just about one athlete; it's a testament to the power of setting ambitious goals and pursuing them relentlessly. It's proof that you can overcome challenges and achieve what others might see as impossible. To all the #dreamers out there: state your dreams and chase them with everything you've got. The journey may be tough, but the rewards are worth every effort. Let's go out and do something hard! #Olympics #MentalToughness #SelfBelief #DreamBig #Consistency #Paris2024
