A recent study from Switch On Business highlights the intense competition among big #tech companies for top #talent. Here’s a glimpse into the data and strategies shaping this high-stakes recruiting landscape: 📊 The Competitive Talent Pool: 26.5% of Meta’s workforce previously worked at another tech giant, showcasing a pattern of talent movement within the industry. Tailoring outreach to these motivations is key. ❗️Highlighting Unique Opportunities: Emphasize roles that offer unique challenges or a more relaxed culture than competitors. ❗️Competitive Compensation: Benefits, bonuses, and stock options are all part of making offers that stand out in a talent-driven market. Did you expect that the best engineers from Palantir, Meta, and the like would browse your openings and magically send their resumes for you to review? Unless you’re Sam Altman, that’s not how it works. Most of the best people out there are already working. They’re not active on job sites, don’t apply to companies, and don’t respond to recruiters. Early-stage founders, if you want the best people, you need to get out there, find them, and convince them. This means: - Use your network. - Cold message people like nobody’s watching. No matter if you’re Elon or the mayor of Shitfuck, your network has limits and won’t bring enough pipeline. That leaves us with cold messaging. Make a big list of the best companies and poach their talent relentlessly. If you do that, it’s just a matter of time before you find your gem. And 𝐃𝐎 𝐈𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅. Don’t delegate it. As the actual founder, you’ll have much more impact and convincing power.

Culture-forward recruiting is quietly becoming very popular among market-leading TA teams. Confirmed to be using culture-forward recruiting: Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Uber, Dell Technologies, Meta, Genentech, Xerox, Fluke Corporation and many more. So what is it? "Culture-forward" recruiting means leveraging your company culture as an asset for recruiting. When Turazo sets up culture-forward recruiting programs, it means giving candidates an opportunity to choose an employee to speak with about culture and what it's like to work there. Creating a 1:1 connection. These conversations are extremely impactful. Candidates report loving them. And so do employees. But beyond that, they're helpful for recruiting teams because the conversation creates trust: A bond between the candidate and the company. Ultimately, when candidates are choosing whether or not to accept an offer, these experiences give candidates a lot of confidence to say yes. 💡 What do you think about culture-forward recruiting? Would you try it? #recruiting #talentacquisition #deib
