June is National Make a Difference to Children Month. In honor, we remind adults that you probably already do things every day to support children. Alvin Thomas, Ph.D., associate professor of Human Development & Family Studies and the Phyllis Northway Faculty was interviewed on WISC-TV about the changing views of fatherhood. Thomas believes that fathers are becoming even more involved in the more nurturing elements of fatherhood, such as feeding and raising children. Fathers are looking to expand their role in the family, while society is helping to reduce the stigma around fathers showing their softer side in raising their children.
