Check out one participant’s experience with the NIH All of Us Research Program on Good Morning America. Three quotes from the feature: https://lnkd.in/exwkmSNF 🤝"Trust is something that we put at the very forefront. It's one of our core values as a program, and we partner with community-based organizations that are within communities where there has been distrust with research," 🧑🧑🧒🧒"We make an effort to make sure that participants are at the very center of everything we do." 🔑“For me, I gained a lot of perspective on my health and the typically inscrutable information in my DNA that may predict future health challenges. I feel like I can provide important information to my kids about their genetic information, and I know I did something to help science and the future of medicine.” 💡Learn more about the NIH All of Us Research Program here: https://lnkd.in/e75X-U9H #NIH #precisionmedicine #joinallofus #futureofmedicine #research
I am excited to share that Good Morning America had a feature about the All of Us Research Program and the Nutrition for Precision Health study this morning! Check out this story from Good Morning America featuring the The National Institutes of Health Office of Nutrition Research’s (#ONR) very own Holly Nicastro, Ph.D., MPH as she describes the importance of the Nutrition for Precision Health (#NPH) study powered by the All of Us Research Program. Dr. Nicastro and Samantha Adas, MS, RDN coordinate the NPH study. The #data collected from the NPH study will be used to improve how people eat. The goal is to help predict how people respond to different ways of eating, so we can then tailor personalized ways of eating for people, to help them meet their health goals #research #precisionnutrition #wearenih #allofus #nutrition #microbiome #diet #artificialintelligence #algorithms

When many submissions to the excess mortality inquiry are suppressed, it raises a critical question: why? As trust in public health messaging continues to erode, transparency and scientific rigor are more vital than ever, especially in such a highly politicised context. This suppression suggests the inquiry is taking the opposite approach, stifling open debate. It’s crucial not to silence diverse scientific perspectives or disregard scientists who bring rigorous insights and counterpoints to important public health discussions. https://lnkd.in/ghbJAsCH

For too long, science and medicine have ignored or downplayed women’s health issues. At the @Wyss Institute, I am part of the solution. I am looking at the relationship between host immune factors and the female genital tract microbiome to determine avenues for microbiome community stabilization/remediation.
