Intraoperative Neuromonitoring in Surgery! 🧠✨ Intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) plays a critical role in complex surgeries affecting the nervous system. Here's why it matters: 🔍 Early Detection of Neurological Complications: IONM enables early detection of potential neurological damage, allowing surgeons to intervene swiftly and prevent irreversible damage. 📊 Guiding Treatment Decisions: With real-time data, neuromonitoring helps surgeons and physiologists tailor treatments, improving patient outcomes and enhancing our understanding of neurological conditions. 🔮 Prognostication: IONM provides valuable insights that help predict surgical outcomes, ensuring patients receive the best possible care. 🔒 Ensuring Patient Safety: By continuously monitoring the nervous system, IONM helps prevent permanent damage, keeping patients safe throughout surgery. 💡 Providing Customized Care: With both invasive and non-invasive monitoring tools, healthcare professionals can better understand patients' conditions and customize treatments for optimal results. Let's prioritize patient safety and improve surgical outcomes with advanced neuromonitoring techniques! #Neuromonitoring #PatientSafety #HealthcareInnovation #MedicalDevice

Due to the minimally invasive nature of interventional radiology, the elderly patients often experience quicker recoveries and reduced hospital stays. Thus enabling them to return to regular activities much sooner and keeping them comfortable throughout. Interventional radiology involves less risk, pain, and recovery time than traditional surgical procedures due to the heavy incorporation of technology and its minimally invasive properties. Many interventions are performed through small incisions or catheters, reducing the need for extensive surgery. We are happy to share here some joyous moments of our patient with Dr. Patil. In this article, MedPage Today reports on a study using longitudinal data from STS's Adult Cardiac Surgery Database, which shows that women were more vulnerable to poor long-term outcomes after postoperative atrial fibrillation following cardiac surgery. Investigators found that “although postoperative atrial fibrillation (poAF) was less likely to occur in women than in men after adjusting for patient and surgery-related risk factors...there was a significantly stronger association between poAF and subsequent mortality for women.” The findings, published in JAMA Network Open, call for a more personalized approach to postoperative care delivery.
