Web3 Wednesday: Building on Farcaster is tomorrow! But what exactly is Farcaster? 👇 They label themselves a "sufficiently decentralized social network" and are currently one of the fastest growing web3 protocols with over 70k DAU. Their most recent product launch, Frames, let you turn any social post into an interactive app. And with crypto wallets being tied directly to your account, this has enabled a lot of really exciting possibilities for new user interactions, such as ecommerce checkout directly in the social feed. This meetup is also 404 DAO's 2nd Base community meetup, so in addition to food, drinks, and networking, we've got a great agenda: 1. Online communities are huge right now. Alex Hormozi invested in Skool, so there are a lot of people building online communities. And I personally believe that an automated community funnel is the best funnel that you can use right now. A lot of people are comparing the different community platforms out there. So you've got things like Skool, you've got Circle, you've got Mighty Networks. GoHighLevel is actually really starting to improve their features on their community platform. 7 points I learned about community building this season (so many tries done and so many budgets spent). 💣 note to save your time and money. 1. There are a lot of community sources around, not just traditional Web3 platforms. 2. Anyway, you need specialized Web3 traffic from tap games or community building platforms (like Zealy) to start. 3. You can't start without some type of airdrop or raffle. 4. You need powerful reposters (KOLs or Web2 partners or whatever) to succeed. 5. Millions of subscribers doesn't create buying pressure. 6. Buying pressure is created by narratives. Choose right narrative, and you will attract not just followers, but buyers. 7. Your community building machine is a tool to catch some narrative traffic and streamline it to your offer.
