Many people think building in public is just a ploy to get new users — a shortcut to fame or a gimmick to go viral. Here’s what building in public actually is, and should always be about: ◾ Sharing wins and lessons to help others learn 💡 ◾ Being authentic and vulnerable ◾ Rallying a community around your cause If you agree, share your “building in public” experience below! #BuildInPublic #Freemius

Web3 Wednesday: Building on Farcaster is tomorrow! But what exactly is Farcaster? 👇 They label themselves a "sufficiently decentralized social network" and are currently one of the fastest growing web3 protocols with over 70k DAU. Their most recent product launch, Frames, let you turn any social post into an interactive app. And with crypto wallets being tied directly to your account, this has enabled a lot of really exciting possibilities for new user interactions, such as ecommerce checkout directly in the social feed. This meetup is also 404 DAO's 2nd Base community meetup, so in addition to food, drinks, and networking, we've got a great agenda: 1. A shallow dive into the Farcaster stack: understand the challenges of building a decentralized social network and how Farcaster actually works. 2. Hear firsthand from a founder building on top of the Farcaster social graph. Colin Johnson, Co-Founder of Ponder, will be sharing his experiences. 3. Learn how to quickly deploy frames with Neynar and their no-code Frame Studio This is the biggest event 404 DAO has put together since last year's Web3 ATL. Hope to see familiar faces from the 404 community and some new crypto-curious people there! RSVP: https://lu.ma/m27ue61u

Online communities are huge right now. Alex Hormozi invested in Skool, so there are a lot of people building online communities. And I personally believe that an automated community funnel is the best funnel that you can use right now. A lot of people are comparing the different community platforms out there. So you've got things like Skool, you've got Circle, you've got Mighty Networks. GoHighLevel is actually really starting to improve their features on their community platform. Personally, I think HighLevel is going to end up taking the lead as far as features are concerned. #OnlineCommunities #CommunityPlatforms #HighLevel

Once on a discovery call, the founder asked me, 'How fast can you fill our Discord server with 20,000 people?' That question made me realize that Web3 founders and CEOs have a fundamental misunderstanding of community building. Spoiler: It's not about numbers, but quality and engagement! In my latest video, I share some lessons every Web3 founder should know before launching a community: from avoiding random partnerships and how to Interact with community, these tips will save you from costly mistakes. #Web3 #Web3Community #Web3CommunityBuilding #Web3CommunityManager #Web3Founder #Web3CommunityLead #CommunityStrategy

If you are a founder in web3, you already know the importance of community building. But simply talking about it won't get you far. It's time to take action and start building one! Remember, talk is cheap, and action speaks louder than words. So, roll up your sleeves and start creating a community that will support your vision and help you succeed. #web3community

Calling out all community builders! We’re excited to launch the next iteration of Yayem: our software is open to communities, members’ clubs and private networks. Yayem OS (white label) One thing I’ve learned building Yayem over the past 3 years is that we all crave meaningful connections. The world is full of opportunities but we come out stronger with trusted support systems: our school and work alumni, social clubs, professional networks, peer groups. What if our communities followed us wherever we go? So many still live on Slack and WhatsApp - or between 4 walls - yet they’re most needed when we’re away from home. Our features are made for this: geolocation, real time AI-based intros, travel overlap (my fav), in app chat - designed to spark belonging in a boundless world. We’re pulling our resources together to uplift each other and help community builders do what they do best: human connections. Let me know if you’re interested in a product demo 🚀

7 points I learned about community building this season (so many tries done and so many budgets spent). 💣 note to save your time and money. 1. There are a lot of community sources around, not just traditional Web3 platforms. 2. Anyway, you need specialized Web3 traffic from tap games or community building platforms (like Zealy) to start. 3. You can't start without some type of airdrop or raffle. 4. You need powerful reposters (KOLs or Web2 partners or whatever) to succeed. 5. Millions of subscribers doesn't create buying pressure. 6. Buying pressure is created by narratives. Choose right narrative, and you will attract not just followers, but buyers. 7. Your community building machine is a tool to catch some narrative traffic and streamline it to your offer.
