Reflecting on the recent Customer Service Week and its theme, "Above and Beyond," I’m reminded of the powerful double-edged sword it represents. When employers go the extra mile for their employees, those employees are motivated to do the same for our customers, creating a ripple effect. This connection brings to mind the five languages of appreciation. As leaders, have we truly mastered our employees’ languages of appreciation? Are we speaking to their needs in a way that resonates? Human beings are motivated by a will to meaning, which is why we sought to appreciate those individuals who leave a lasting footprint in their interactions with customers. Their dedication enriches the customer experience and fosters a sense of community. Let’s take this opportunity to reflect on the importance of honoring and recognizing outstanding individuals across organizations. When we appreciate those who consistently go above and beyond, we not only enhance employee experience but also elevate customer experience. By fostering an environment where appreciation flows both ways, we can create a culture that delights customers and empowers employees to shine. Kudos to our Champions!
We are proud to have celebrated eight of our customer experience stars who were nominated by their fellow colleagues as part of our customer service week activities. Faith Kibunyi, (MCIPS,MKISM), Abbie Kutto, Simon Kingori, Rahim Dass, Joseph Ngatia, Cyrus Cherop, Andrew Odhiambo, and Robert Irina were celebrated for going above and beyond in putting our customers first in their daily activities.
