My presentation at BrightonSEO this week was just a small insight into the full 4-report Visibility Leaders - Women's Fashion study, which is now live! Search trends, including brands, keyword lists, top domains and URLs and three special reports. TrendWatch, SectorWatch and our Winners Analyses. The full list of leading SEO content directories (not domains!) has also been updated with 80 new examples from the sector. Three expert SEOs and data journalists worked on the special reports and our data engineers did a great job in providing all the source data for the final analysis. DAY THREE Next on the list that I learned today was going through the E-commerce roles and responsibilities. Under this section, I was given only two roles which were: = E-commerce analyst. = E-commerce Specialist. I also learned a few more advanced roles in case I want to further my growth in this field and they include: = Digital Marketing Manager. = Social Media Strategist. = Account Manager = E-commerce product manager. [I am intentionally hiding their responsibilities because it's not my purpose to write a note for my audience 😂] So, among all these roles, I have one that has caught my interest which is the SEO Specialist under Digital Marketing. I am so curious about this and would love to delve deeper into researching on it. However, I was made to know that as I progress on the course, there will be more explanations on these roles so I am excitedly waiting for it🤭💃 #digitalmarketing #SEO #Google

Nothing better than seeing the data behind all of the hard work put in (and the £££ coming out the other side). Last year our fashion client barely broke 100 non-branded clicks a day. Our SEO strategy focused on a complete rebuild of the site structure, with new page and content creation, which we put the bulk of live last October, marked by the first pink marker. This resulted in a huuuuge explosion of non-branded organic impressions & clicks over the coming months. At it's peak we were reaching 2,000+ non-branded clicks a day, a 20x uplift from the year prior. We then saw those numbers tail off as summer progressed. As summer continues, the demand across the industry softened, as it does most years for this product range. We also saw big, authoritative competitors claw back some of their ranking positions. However, as September has hit we can see another big spike in performance once again which I am so excited about. We spent the summer months diligently working on an internal linking structure, optimising other content and trying to build upon our successes already. And we are now seeing the work pay off again, with the second pink marker showing end of Aug/start of Sept and the most recent uplift. Two days ago we saw the site reach one of it's top 10 performing days of the year in non-branded clicks and we're still in a bit of a transitional period, heading out of summer but still feel slightly too early for winter and party season. It also appears to coincide with the end of the most recent Google Core Algorithm Update, which appears to be rewarding the work and SEO strategy set out in place. As ever, Google's ranking results can be volatile and can change, but I think the strategy we have been working on is going to set the site up for a very successful winter season upcoming. This has resulted in seven-figure revenue through SEO, with multiple six-figure growth Year-on-Year. New ecom client's SEO is trending up so consistently that their first quarter after Christmas continued to grow enough to actually beat their Christmas sales… ✅ 116% increase on Google traffic ✅ 100.15% increase in sales They're mid-ticket in an interesting niche. Had a massive historical catalog. Prioritized optimizing the site structure first so it would instantly amplify that historical catalog. We've barely been hitting stride with content, so these early wins are a great precursor of what's to come.

85% of Australian e-commerce content found to be plagiarised! ✨ Optidan AI an AI driven SEO service agency based in Australia, shared a research report on the Australian e-commerce early this year, and the findings are quite concerning: a whopping 85% of content across over 780 online retailers is plagiarized! 📉 🔍 This whole content duplication mess is causing major visibility issues for e-commerce sites. Search engines are punishing them for having non-unique content. As a result, retailers are having to shell out more money on paid ads just to stay in the game. 🗣️ Here's what JP Tucker, the Founder of OptiDan and a former retailer, had to say about all this: "Retailers are expecting Google to work its magic and bring in the sales, but they're not willing to invest in quality content, which is absolutely crucial. Even we were surprised by the extent of plagiarism we uncovered in our report." So, it's clear that if retailers want to stay ahead of the game, they need to up their content game.
