Every 10 minutes, a woman is killed. Violence against women is one of the most widespread and devastating human rights violations. Globally, nearly one in three women will experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. For thousands of women each year, this violence ends in the most tragic way: their lives taken, often by someone they know. This crisis demands awareness, accountability, and action. We must support initiatives that protect women, empower survivors, and fund movements dedicated to ending this injustice. Together, we can work toward a world where every woman lives free from fear. #NoExcuse #StopViolenceAgainstWomen #OrangeTheWorld

One woman or girl is killed every 10 minutes by their intimate partner or family member. The latest report on femicides reveals that 60% of all female homicides are committed by an intimate partner or a family member. The United Nations General Assembly has designated November 25 as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (Resolution 54/134). The premise of the day is to raise awareness around the world that women are subjected to rape, domestic violence, and other forms of violence. Furthermore, one of the aims of the day is to highlight that the scale and true nature of the issue is often hidden. #LatestReport #Advocate #Discuss | United Nations | UN Women

We see time and time again the violence inflicted on women and girls day in and day out. Just imagine all the abuse and violence that isn’t reported and doesn’t make the news. In each and every one of our worlds it’s important that men step up and hold other men accountable. Holding men accountable for their actions, words and ideas of women and girls, including violent acts against us, is a detrimental part of ending violence against women and girls, and making sure that women are protected and men are called out. #VAWG #MenBeingAccountable #HoldMenAccountable

Every 10 Minutes, a woman is killed. This week was the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and the launch of the United Nations’ UNiTE to End Violence against Women campaign. The campaign – that runs Nov 25 to Dec 10 – is an initiative of 16 days of activism concluding on the day that commemorates the International Human Rights Day. This year, UNiTE is drawing attention to the alarming escalation of violence against women under the theme, “Every 10 Minutes, a woman is killed. #NoExcuse. UNiTE to End Violence against Women”. TelstraSuper recognises the devastating impact domestic violence can have on the lives of those who experience abuse. Family and domestic violence can be physical, emotional, financial or legal – but no matter the circumstances, it is never acceptable. We’re also committed to supporting employees experiencing domestic violence. If you need help, we encourage you to speak to the police about support services, or contact a local service such as 1800 RESPECT (1800 737 732) or Safe Steps (1800 015 188). #EndViolence #NoExcuse

16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, marks the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a global campaign aimed at raising awareness and combating all forms of violence against women and girls. At Renewed Hope in Future, we strongly believe that no society can thrive while its women and girls live under the threat of physical, psychological, economic, or sexual violence. Such violence is not only a violation of human rights but also a barrier to sustainable development and peace. We call on governments, communities, and individuals to work together to support victims, raise awareness, and promote inclusive solutions. Together, we can build an equal and safe world for everyone. Let’s act today for a future free of violence. #StopGenderViolence #16DaysOfActivism #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #GenderEqualityNow #ActForChange #noexcuses
