The range of nerve blocks used in emergency medicine is expanding fast, and we can help you stay ahead of the curve... Fascia iliaca block is now a core skill. The serratus anterior block is so effective that it is rapidly gaining popularity. Erector spinae block is likely to become more widely used too. This course is perfect for those in emergency medicine looking to deepen their knowledge in ultrasound-guided nerve blocks—including potentially useful, although less common, popliteal and median nerve blocks. Take your expertise to the next level and provide even better care for your patients. 👉 Find out more: https://shorturl.at/bA7uv #EmergencyMedicine #UltrasoundNerveBlocks #ClinicalSkills #PainManagement #BetterPatientCare

🚫 Attention Clinicians: It's time to rethink our FX detection methods! 🚫 Clinicians let's talk about tuning forks and fracture detection. It's a method that's been around for a while, but it's time to move forward. Using tuning forks might have been a common practice, but research and advancements in evidence guided care show us that there are far more accurate and reliable methods to detect fractures in the filed setting. Fracture detection is a critical aspect of sports medicine care, and we need to utilize the most effective assessments at our disposal. Relying on tuning forks can lead to missed diagnoses or incorrect assessments, potentially jeopardizing patient outcomes. Instead, let's embrace sideline examination techniques that provide clearer, more precise results. So, clinicians, let's make a commitment to leave the tuning forks behind and embrace evidence guided methods to diagnosis fracture. Our patients deserve nothing less than the best care possible. #ModernMedicine #PatientCare #NoMoreTuningForks 🏥💡

Working in emergency medicine?🚑 These are the four tools you likely always have on you! 💉✂️ (Including that fancy necklace...🩺😉) Each specialty might use something different, but a Butterfly probe can be beneficial for all of them. Tell us in the comments what your go-to tool is, other than one of our probes of course! #pocus #ultrasound

If this is your face when someone mentions learning POCUS (🤔) let us help you! Becoming not just proficient, but skilled, at point-of-care ultrasound can be overwhelming - it takes time and practice. Dr. Ashley Weisman - a rural emergency physician and assistant professor of emergency medicine - had some great tips of how to incorporate it into your practice, and gain confidence scanning. These are just some of our favorite clips. What's holding you back from getting started? With practice, you can implement this too! #pocus #accurate #diagnosis #ultrasound
