Internal parts like this molded subframe chassis would be good candidates for volume production using #3dprinting. No tooling cost…No schedule cost… Complete design flexibility (only purpose is for aligning PCBAs) Aesthetic finish not required Best of all, the parts are shielded from incidental UV light so SLA resin printing might even be an option. Shielded parts won't suffer from UV embrittlement, but watch out for creep over time if you have a continuously loaded flex feature. #dfam #AdditiveManufacturing
