Spot on! Working in older operating rooms with older technologies is a real challenge, for many hospitals/surgeons, in our efforts to optimize outcomes. From antiquated HVAC systems, small sized ORs and more, we are constantly being asked to improve outcomes and yet these challenges are outside of our hands. It really sets up the most expert surgeons at the top of their games, with years of training and sacrifices to be there, for unintended suboptimal outcomes- including infections.
