Are you slowing down during this holiday break? I mean, 'really' slowing down? Many people have the time between Christmas and New Year as an extended holiday. Some workplaces even close down for this entire period. Having a break during this time of year is appreciated by almost everyone, I think! There is a change of pace... no work meetings, but plans with family and friends. Perhaps time for midday walks. Evenings in conversation or engaged in family entertainment. So let's appreciate and celebrate this time, a slower pace, a more relaxed rhythm. Let's not seek to be productive and busy! Don't be a clock-watcher. Revel in slow time. And prepare to be surprised by the thoughts and insights that might bubble through to your awareness... You never know what will happen when you slow down! #RestfulHolidays #SlowDown #TimeForInsights

The Holiday season brings additional stress to small businesses and its employees. Having enough in stock to meet customer demands, holiday events, deadlines, budgeting, vacation and time off scheduling, and end of the year burnout. As business owners we can try to plan ahead and be flexible but the added stress affects everyone in the business. Here are a couple of tips on how to manage the holiday season and help your employees navigate the time of the year where it feels like there is not time to get everything done: Plan your employees’ time off early in the year to have a clear holiday schedule for your business and hire additional help if necessary. Analyze your workload, set deadlines and establish realistic expectations with customers. Prioritize. Prioritize. Adjust deadlines according to priorities. Identify the most critical tasks, create a schedule, delegate and define goals for the holidays. If possible create a flexible schedule for your employees allowing them time to manage their tasks. Keep it light and fun. Let go of things that don’t matter or affect the overall mood. Keep communications open so that employees can voice concerns. Remember, the holidays should be a joyful time, a time to come together and celebrate. Wishing everyone that follow us a happy, stress free holiday season! As we sprint toward year-end deadlines while juggling holiday preparations, it's easy to slip into scarcity thinking: "There's not enough time..." "I can't possibly meet all these expectations..." "How will I afford everything?" But what if we could maintain our peace regardless of circumstances? Here's a simple practice I've found transformative: The 3-3-3 Peace Reset When you feel overwhelmed (whether by that urgent email or the growing holiday list): 1️⃣ Notice 3 things you can see right now that remind you of abundance (the coffee your colleague brought you, the family photo on your desk, the sunshine through your window) 2️⃣ Take 3 deep breaths, remembering 3 moments of "enough" from your day (that project you completed, the kind word from a teammate, the parking spot that opened up) 3️⃣ Set 3 boundaries to protect your peace (maybe it's closing your email for focused work, saying "no" to that extra holiday commitment, or scheduling daily quiet time) Remember: Your worth isn't measured by deadlines met or presents purchased. You can be both productive AND peaceful. What's one boundary you're setting this season to protect your peace? #WorkplacePeace #HolidayBalance #LeadershipGrowth #MentalHealth #WorkLifeHarmony
