If your boiler capacity has noticeably declined over the years and has become inefficient, it’s time to upgrade or retrofit. How much is too much to handle depends on your efficiency tolerance, i.e. how much degradation you can afford before needing to take action. For most plants, tolerance levels are small, given the tightening economics of energy production. While this can be difficult to judge, our team has compiled a list of warning signs to help determine the right timing for your next retrofit or upgrade. Believe it or not – just because your solar panels aren’t rife with physical damages or defects, doesn’t mean you don’t need to replace them. So how do I know when I need new panels? The obvious indicators are things like cracks, bent frames, or consistent low power output. But there are a few more subtle clues that, when spotted early, can save you lots of time and money on more serious repairs in the future. These would include discolored panels, inverter issues, and signs of degradation.

🙄 You're still using electric chillers and absorbers? 🚫 There's a better option which can lower your operational costs tremendously. By producing your cooling with natural gas-driven Tecochill chillers, you should expect to see a 40-60% drop in your energy bills, and high electric rate areas will realize even larger savings. Plus by offsetting your boiler with our free hot water byproduct, you are creating your hot and chilled water simultaneously with the natural gas you're already using. Considering a new chiller? A load dumping system is a mechanism used in power plants to safely dispose of excess electrical load when there is an oversupply of electricity in the grid. This situation can occur when the demand for electricity suddenly drops, such as during periods of low demand or when a generator goes offline unexpectedly. The load dumping system is necessary to prevent overloading of the electrical grid, which can lead to instability, voltage fluctuations, and even blackouts. By quickly shedding excess load, the system helps maintain grid stability and protects the integrity of the electrical infrastructure. In a load dumping system, excess electricity is diverted to auxiliary loads or dissipated as heat using resistors or other devices. This allows the power plant to quickly respond to changes in demand and maintain the balance between electricity generation and consumption, ensuring the reliable operation of the electrical grid.
