Everyone is ready to share knowledge or provide resources like articles or books to help.”   👉 Is there anything else you like about working at Vention? “I also appreciate that we’re not limited to just one technology. The company encourages us to learn new skills and even new languages, which helps us in new projects and in communicating more effectively. It’s great to have that kind of support for growth.”   👉 Can you share a learning experience that stood out to you? “Learning Azure was a big one. I had to create pipelines for my tests and integrate them with Azure, which was challenging since I was the only QA in the project. Hervorragende Erklärung, warum viele Unternehmen sich mit Softwareentwicklung schwer tun: Anwenden von Mechanismen für einfache oder komplizierte Problemstellungen (insb. "Best Practices"), obwohl Softwareentwicklung fast immer im komplexen Umfeld unterwegs ist. Selten wird Zusammenhang "iterartiver + inkrementeller", inspect & adapt (d.h. im wesentlichen agiler) Arbeit und Softwareentwicklung besser sichtbar gemacht. We talked to Svetlana Chupikova, QA Functional Engineer at Centicore Group, about the appeal of working in QA, what qualities are important for an engineer, and what pitfalls may await on this path. - How long have you been at Centicore?  - I've been with the company since November 2023. It seems very recent, but I feel like I belong. - Why did you decide to become an engineer? How did your career start?  - I never planned to become an engineer. When I studied security engineering at Baumansky, many of my classmates followed the path of testing, but I chose the path of physical protection and controllers, hardware and cameras... I got a job in my sixth year at a military plant. And I remember how I was switched - I was walking down the corridor, I saw a woman from the neighboring department (already in age) and something clicked in my head. Everything in me just screamed - it's not yours! Run! And I ran away to testing :) I didn't have a very good entry into the profession - no luck with onboarding. But I didn't give up and I'm very happy about it. - What qualities do you consider the most important for a QA Engineer? - I probably agree with most of my colleagues in this question: attentiveness, diligence and the ability to work with large streams of information. However, I emphasize three more qualities - out-of-the-box thinking, curiosity and adaptability. Our work is important and interesting. We have to think outside the box - you can never guess what a user might do. Being curious means always learning something new. Even on a project you've been working on for a long time. To be adaptable - well, here, I think, no additional comments are required :) -What brings you the most pleasure in your work?  - It's hard to single out one thing at once. Probably, I like to work with Beck, api and postman most of all. I especially love front-endless systems. They delight me with their logic and beauty. It's hard to explain, but who knows will understand :) - What are the challenges?  - The biggest challenge on any project is lack of information. You have to spend more time and effort to find it, and it is good if its source is documents. If the source is a person, everything becomes much more complicated.
