The Ascyrus Medical Dissection Stent (AMDS) is a very good option in treating acute aortic dissection type A in selected patients. Individual aortic anatomy regarding potential contraindications and proper device implantation are strongly recommended to avoid complete central AMDS collapse. Stretching the felt during performing the anastomosis might be one key of success avoiding aortic stenosis and collapsing . Many thanks to Davide de Manna for sharing the illustrations. In this case we did a root replacement, ascending replacement, AMDS (because of malperfusion) and bypass to RCA. Debunking 3 myths: 1) Intervention Radiologists cannot treat right or bilateral varicocele. 2) Even if they do technical and clinical failure rates are high. 3) Right ISVn cannulation requires jugular approach only. Video shows our 50th + case of right ISVn cannulation via femoral approach. Can't remember the last case where we failed to cannulate right ISVn retrograde if doppler suggested right varicocele. 5Fr sim2 glidecath helped a lot for the success. #varicoceleembolozation #interventionradiology #minimallyinvasive ##avoidsurgery

In these images we can see an anatomical enucleation of the prostate via endoscopic route in a patient referred with a history of 2 previous incomplete Bipolar TURP. In this case we were able to perform a successful Holep with a low power holmium laser equipment (which is much cheaper to acquire and cost effective for low volume centers and in countries where the cost of this equipment can make the difference between having it or NOT!) Many thanks to Dr. Fernando Gómez Sancha , Dr Mariano Sebastián González Dr Felipe Figueiredo for helping me in different aspects of my training in the endoscopic enucleation technique! #Holep #HolepArgentina 🇦🇷#lowpowerholep

The transition from the second to the third millennium happened to be a turning point in the history of myocardial revascularization on a beating heart, which moved from technical development to critical evaluation. This article describes how the initial acceptance and spread of off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCABG) was followed by the general perception that the technique could not fulfill the expectations placed in it, and provides some insight on what should we do with the know-how of OPCABG in the present and the future of coronary surgical revascularization.

Double outlet right atrium (DORA) is a type of atrioventricular septal defect (AVSD) that has been rarely reported in the domestic cat. We describe the presentation, diagnostic findings, and treatment of a rare case of DORA in a domestic cat with a focus on TTE imaging. #CaseSpecialIssue #10DaysofCASE #ACHD

Biliary cannulation presents unique challenges, from differences in clinical presentation to variations in patient anatomy. To gain access for ERCP, it’s critical to choose the most suitable guidewire – long or short – for the procedure and your patient. Our new Autotome™ Pro RX Cannulating Sphincterotome features an optimized C-channel* that allows for ease of wire exchange between an .025 and .035 in a challenging case without having to exchange sphincterotomes. 💡 The 75-year-old patient presented with symptomatic severe mitral stenosis (dpmean 12 mmHg) and moderate mitral regurgitation. One year ago, the patient, who also suffered from severe aortic stenosis, underwent TAVR. Due to massive calcification of the mitral valve annulus, transcatheter mitral valve implantation (TMVI) was recommended as the treatment of choice. 💞 After detailed preoperative planning, we were able to successfully implant a Tendyne 29S LP. Postoperative echo showed no residual regurgitation and a mean PG of 5 mmHg. #Tendyne #MAC #MitralStenosis PD Dr. med. Hendrik Ruge, Prof. Dr. med. Markus Krane, PD Dr. med. An acute type A aortic dissection, specifically a DeBakey Type I, is a challenging and life-threatening operation. The PERSEVERE data has demonstrated the ability of AMDS to reduce major adverse events through 30-days post-op. Hear from Dr. Michael Moon, MD about his key takeaways from the PERSEVERE data and his experience in the DARTS trial. Shoulder pathologies of the rotator cuff of the shoulder are common in clinical practice. We focus on the imaging of the rotator interval that is actually the anterosuperior aspect of the glenohumeral joint capsule that is reinforced externally by the coracohumeral ligament, internally by the superior glenohumeral ligament and capsular fibers which blend together and insert medially and laterally to the bicipital groove. MSUS has a higher spatial resolution than other imaging techniques and the ability to examine these structures dynamically and to utilize the probe for precise anatomic localization of the patient's pain by sono-palpation.
