Congratulations, Jochen Koestler (Producer, Executive Vice President Non-Fiction at LEONINE, with an impressive career in the media industry) on being named to the #RollOfFuture and honored by the #HallOfFuture, the non profit organization (NPO) for responsible business answers to #future questions. The honor was presented at a private ceremony at the Hashtag #Montblanc House in Hamburg. Since November 2023, dozens extraordinary personalities have already been honored. The Hall of Future is an NPO that is committed to #QualityEconomy. It stands for #growth economy, and is a new economic direction that complements the centuries-old quantitative orientation of macro-, micro- and business economics . In 2025, the #book "Quality Economy" will be published by Springer Nature Group, one of the largest scientific publishers in the world. I had the pleasure of honoring exceptional individuals (the most analog, all digital), who usually do not see the award as the end of a life's work, but as a new start! Within the next days I will introduce more honored individuals. The Hall of Future member companies together (already since the first dozen honorees) represent more than half a #trillion euros in annual #revenue in more than 100 countries with more than 1 million employees. Yes, these are numbers. Because they will also play a role in the future, for example to prove that Quality Economy is also quantitatively more #successful. This weekend, I’m thrilled to be in Munich, proudly representing Liberty & Plenty Distillery and North Carolina’s rich agricultural heritage. Together with the US Commercial Service, USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Visit NC, and the Carolina Panthers, we’re here to spark connections and foster trade through our shared love of sport, commerce, food, and beverage. As a woman-owned business, our journey to Munich is deeply rooted in the foundation set by so many trailblazers, like my mom, who pushed boundaries when opportunities for women were far more limited — who saw a need and an emerging opportunity and had the courage to grab it — when it went against the cultural tide. Consider that thirty-six years ago - only in 1988, groundbreaking initiatives like the Women’s Business Ownership Act reshaped what was possible, empowering women to pursue entrepreneurship on their own terms. These were more than policy changes—they were life-changing steps that opened doors for generations to come. Without those doors, we wouldn’t have the privilege of being here in Germany today. At an event hosted by the US Consulate General Munich, Consul General Dr. James Miller spoke about diplomacy through sport in a world that it - seemingly - increasingly divided. His words resonated deeply, reminding us that our challenges don’t divide us; they connect us, pushing us to make a positive impact. As we continue the work of those who came before us, we’re not just advancing our own goals—we’re strengthening the bonds that bring us together. We’re here to build something lasting, something meaningful, and something that brings people together—something that serves as a reminder of what happens when we break down obstacles and barriers to ownership, agency and exchange. Cheers to what lies ahead.

Our #CEO, Glenn Mandziuk and Director of Partnerships and Business Engagement, Patrick O' Meara, were delighted to come together to deliver the #keynotespeech at the International CHRIE Global #Conference, last month. Within the session, Glenn and Patrick provided an overview of the bold steps we're taking to drive #sustainable and #responsiblehospitality, including the development of the ground-breaking Pathway to Net Positive Hospitality, the innovative #NetPositive business #simulation and our game-changing new World #Academy for #SustainableHospitality. What's more, they shared insight on our #collaboration with ICHRIE, as we continue to work together to advance #sustainability #research, through the Global Research Marathon. We are delighted to have contributed to the #GlobalResearchMarathon on the day - sharing practical feedback with the teams who presented their progress at the event. The research marathon is dedicated to driving positive change across #environmentalsustainability, #socialresponsibility and #governance, by stimulating scholarly activities, fostering research that advances theoretical and scholarly publications, and facilitating collaboration across #ICHRIE members and industry partners. Congratulations to the winning teams within the 'Practical Research Track' who received their awards and gave their final presentations at the event! 🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 I'm thrilled to announce the publication of our latest research article, "Unveiling Structural and Emotional Drivers of Dynamic Capabilities in Family Firms: The Contingent Role of Firm Size," now available in the Business Process Management Journal. In this study, we explore the nuanced impact of family involvement in firm ownership on the development of dynamic capabilities, specifically distinguishing between the structural elements (such as ownership dispersion) and emotional aspects (like wealth concentration). Our research focuses on a robust sample of Spanish family-owned tourism firms, an industry predominantly comprised of family enterprises, making it an ideal context for our investigation. Key Findings: Our findings reveal that both structural and emotional dimensions of family ownership can have mixed effects on the cultivation of dynamic capabilities, depending on the size of the family business. Thanks and congratulations to my coauthors: José María Fernández Yáñez, CESAR CAMISON ZORNOZA, Andreas Kallmuenzer and Marco Valeri https://lnkd.in/e5rweKVh
