Throwback to one of the sessions a few weeks ago with our My Brother’s Keeper Alliance partnership. Students were challenged to think about leadership, examples they’ve seen of it, and how they want to apply those skills and practices in their own lives. Their willingness to show up and be active participants in these workshops is already an example of leadership in action. 💛

My aha moment from last week's Association Forum Fit for Purpose Session 1 about boards and leadership: It's no longer just about getting stuff done—it's about leaving things better than we found them for those who come after us. So, instead of asking, "What would you like to accomplish during this meeting?" ask, "What will our successors say about us." When a board is truly fit-for-purpose, it's all about long-term impact and making sure the system benefits everyone, from stakeholders (our members) to successors (future leaders). It's stewardship at its best! Can't wait to bring this mindset to the future boards I serve on!
