Excited to share our new article (led by Dr. Ana Raissa Trinidad-Lagarto, Anne Fuentes, and Neneth Gano-Duarte) published in Local Environment! We feature a case study of the Manobo Indigenous education model and practice in Tagpalico (Agusan del Sur) and argue that Indigenous education as practiced by the Manobo is not simply oriented “inward” towards their own community. Instead, the Manobo model entails a socially constituted enterprise (i.e. a community of practice) with grassroots learning, diverse forms of collaboration, and strategic negotiation with government and other stakeholders. 🌍 Understanding the Kilimanjaro Social-Ecological System 🏔️ I'm excited to share my latest contribution to the German Research Magazine (Issue 2/2024)! This article highlights the interdisciplinary work of the Kilimanjaro Social-Ecological System Project, where ecologists and social scientists collaborate to explore the relationships between people and nature around Mount Kilimanjaro. Using a combination of over 10 years of ecological data, household surveys, and even social media data, we aim to uncover new insights into how these interactions shape both ecological and social dynamics. 📄 Check out the full article in the online edition on the DFG website at https://lnkd.in/eM5a92zd

Great event from Synapse Lund 🚀, what an amazing idea! If you are looking for a job who better to give you advice and answer your questions than someone who was recently in the same situation as you? Here are some of the questions I would ask: 👉 Where did you find the job (LinkedIn, job portal, mailing the company...) and what did you write to stand out in the application? 👉 How was the selection process? How many interviews did you have and what kind (online or face-to-face, technical questions or more about your personality...)? 👉 How to deal with rejections Feel free to use them in case you go to the event and don't forget to tell me how it went! And remember that Synapse members can help answer these questions, as they design interviews for new candidates each year and contact companies for every event 😉, so take the opportunity to ask them during mingling time or at the end of the event.
