This is our Faidherbia albida tree species at our nursery, today we would like to share the story behind this species, The growth of this tree in the nursery is very rapid and, ideally, seedlings can be outplanted after 2 months. However, due to many constraints, planting operations are often delayed and time in the nursery must be extended. In order to maintain superior root structure, we perform some hand activities like, pots must be shifted frequently, sometimes we do this for every 15 days in the later stages of nursery operations. We know that root coiling in the nursery is a problem with Faidherbia albida. The standard practice we do is to cut off the root coil at the bottom of the pot before outplanting, but this can hinder plant development. Root coiling and/or roots growing out of the bottoms of the pots occurs in the nursery as early as 18 days after sowing and requires pruning of or pot transfer. Today we are very happy when we see this trees are growing well join us today

Although only at the beginning, a first parameter of selection of a good cultivar is the rooting and vigor of cuttings. It is fundamental the complete rooting of the cuttings in the nursery because it will mean that the clone will have no problems in the plantations. Another important factor is youth vigor. A healthy and vigorous gait will ensure that the plant grows immediately in a short time with a good shape already in the first two years of the plantation. Here we have on the left a new clone of the series hybrids of 2020 and on the right the reference clone I-214. Knowing the vigour of clone I214 in the nursery or in the plantation, this new clone in its early stages, in the same soil and in the same sowing period, is already showing a noticeable difference. Monitoring continues throughout the year for the next parameters!

Trifolium repens (from Latin repens, meaning crawling), the white clover, is a herbaceous perennial plant in the bean family Fabaceae (otherwise known as Leguminosae). It is native to Europe, including the British Isles, and central Asia and is one of the most widely cultivated types of clover. It has been widely introduced worldwide as a forage crop, and is now also common in most grassy areas (lawns and gardens) of North America, Australia and New Zealand. The species includes varieties often classed as small, intermediate and large, according to height, which reflects petiole length. The term 'white clover' is applied to the species in general, 'Dutch clover' is often applied to intermediate varieties (but sometimes to smaller varieties), and 'ladino clover' is applied to large varieties.
