This past month, the Project DEFY team, along with its partners, fellows from 33 Nooks, and radical educators from across India, gathered in Sohra (Cherrapunjee), Meghalaya, for the second CORE gathering. Instead of speeches, expansion plans, or exchanging business cards, the focus was on converging at the brink of a movement. At CORE 2.0, we witnessed something extraordinary—a community of educators deeply connected to their people, transcending roles and structures to weave the fabric of a genuine movement. Together, we shared stories, learned as one, and voiced the bold dreams of our communities—unique yet interconnected, embodying the balance every movement needs. The Nook community, now 150 strong, with the CORE Consortium, is set to more than double next year, inviting educators worldwide to join this journey. When Accountability Isn't a Choice, ______ Finds Its Way! 🎯 C-BRO (Comment Before Reading On...would love to know what comes to you for that dash 🤓 ) Now, every true leader carries the weight of ensuring that their team's every effort is in the right direction. It isn't just a choice, but a 24/7 reality. And guess what, we are feeling a similar vibe in our visits to some of the finest India's schools in #dehradun! Walking through the corridors of India's diverse school ecosystems, something fascinating caught our attention here – the heightened sense of accountability in #boarding #schools! When students live on campus 24/7, the school's responsibility transforms from traditional academic oversight into complete nurturing of young minds. These educators don't clock out at 3 PM – they're accountable for #holistic #development of their students! What makes our hearts sing? Meeting educators and administrators who share our deep sense of accountability! There's something beautiful about collaborating with stakeholders who understand that we're all working towards one goal - enhancing student #learning #outcomes. As founders, getting on the field for these interactions has been golden. These conversations with educators, administrators, and students are helping us fine-tune our work before our big PUBLIC LAUNCH. The insights are invaluable, and the enthusiasm is contagious! The journey has reinforced our core belief: true educational transformation starts with taking ownership. And seeing this principle in action across India's boarding schools has been nothing short of inspiring 🙌 Excited doesn't even begin to describe how we feel about what's coming next! As we celebrate our 78th Independence Day 🇮🇳, I’m filled with pride in our nation’s journey. From a literacy rate of 12% in 1947 to over 77% today, our educational progress has been remarkable. 📈 The evolution of our education system, from traditional Gurukuls to today’s digital classrooms, is a testament to our growth. 🏛 India’s Educational Evolution: -> Institutional Growth: Expansion of primary, secondary, and higher education has made learning more accessible nationwide. 💹 -> EdTech Revolution: Digital tools are transforming education into a more interactive and inclusive experience. 👨💻 -> Pioneering Initiatives: Programs like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and the Right to Education Act have been pivotal in making education more equitable. Despite These Achievements, Several Critical Gaps Remain: -> Quality Gaps: The quality of education, particularly in rural areas, continues to lag behind. -> Outdated Systems: Many institutions struggle with outdated curricula, poor internet access, and inadequate infrastructure. 💻 -> Skill Development: There is an urgent need to transition from rote memorization to skill-based learning that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and innovation. -> Educational Equity: Ensuring equal access for all, regardless of socio-economic background, is still a major challenge. How do we solve these challenges? -> Public-Private Collaboration: A unified effort is needed to bridge educational gaps. 🤝 -> Skill-Based Learning: The future of India’s education system must emphasize holistic learning that prepares students for the challenges of tomorrow, moving beyond rote learning.💡 -> Industry-Academia Partnerships: Closer collaboration is key to ensure that our education system remains relevant and dynamic to prepare our youth for the evolving job market. 🔗 -> Research Funding: Investing in R&D is crucial for educational innovation. -> Supporting Entrepreneurs: Encouraging educational entrepreneurship can help address existing challenges. At PW (PhysicsWallah), we are committed to a Viksit Bharat—an India where education is democratized and accessible to all. Our journey continues, and together, we can shape a system that educates and empowers the next generation. 🌏 Happy Independence Day! 🇮🇳 #independenceday #78thindependence #physicswallah #edtech #indianeducation #startups #skill #entrepreneurship #viksitbharat

🇮🇳 Can we make a collective resolution to embody the values of our Preamble in our everyday lives? As a common citizen trying to contribute to India’s growth story, I’ve come to understand that these principles aren’t just lofty ideals—they are a roadmap to how we all can contribute for achieving India’s Developed Status by 2047. 🔥“WE, THE PEOPLE” isn’t just a phrase; it’s a call to action for each of us. Whether you’re coding at a startup, teaching in a classroom, or literally building bridges, we all play a vital role in this vision. 🌟Justice goes beyond courtrooms—it’s about creating fair opportunities for those who deserve a chance. 🌟Liberty isn’t an abstract concept—it’s about respecting diverse viewpoints in discussions without judgment. 🌟Equality isn’t just a policy—it’s about fostering workplaces where everyone feels welcome, regardless of their background. 🌟Fraternity isn’t outdated—it’s about nurturing inclusive spaces where collaboration thrives. ‼️‼️As we strive toward becoming a developed nation, let’s remember that our everyday actions are the building blocks of this shared dream. The Preamble isn’t just a foundational document—it’s also a professional compass guiding us toward excellence and inclusivity. What does the Preamble mean in your professional journey? 🌟 What an incredible day! 🌟 Today, I had the distinct honor of presenting at the international e-conference in India, where the focus was on a topic very close to my heart: Neurodiversity and Education. In an ever-evolving world, recognizing and embracing the diverse cognitive landscapes of neurodiverse individuals isn't just important; it's imperative. This field ignites my passion not only professionally but personally, as I delve deeper into understanding how we can foster environments that promote learning and growth for all. Through my presentation, I aimed to shed light on how educational systems can be transformed to be more inclusive, recognizing that each mind has its unique pattern of learning. The enthusiastic feedback and engaging discussions that followed were truly enlightening. This topic underscores the need for a shift in mainstream educational methodologies to include, support, and celebrate the strengths and abilities of neurodiverse learners. It is heartening to see educators, policymakers, and stakeholders come together to explore and discuss these necessary changes. A special thank you to Dr. Betkar Principal India, for the invitation and impeccable organization of this event. Your leadership in bringing us together to discuss these critical issues is immensely appreciated. Let's keep the conversation going. Every step we take towards inclusivity not only helps neurodiverse individuals to thrive but also enriches our communities and societies at large. Together, we can make a significant difference. #Neurodiversity #EducationReform #InclusiveEducation #EConferenceIndia2024 #LifelongLearning

***Srikanth's Journey: From Rural India to MIT Srikanth Bolla was born in a small village in India. Being visually impaired, he faced many challenges from a young age. Despite these challenges, his parents believed in him and encouraged him to dream big. In school, Srikanth excelled, but when he wanted to study science further, many colleges in India rejected him because of his disability. Instead of giving up, Srikanth applied to MIT in the United States. Against all odds, he was accepted and became the first visually impaired student at MIT. At MIT, Srikanth worked hard and earned a degree in computer science. After graduating, he returned to India and started Bollant Industries, a company that makes eco-friendly products and employs people with disabilities. His company not only succeeded financially but also made a positive impact on society. ***The lessons for Businesses*** Srikanth's story teaches us that success comes after many challenges. When your business faces difficulties, think of Srikanth. Reflect on where you might be lacking and find ways to overcome those challenges. Stay resilient, innovative, and persistent. Every setback can be a setup for a comeback.
