💧💙 This Giving Tuesday, give the gift of clean—and so much more. 💙💧 Imagine moving through your day without access to a warm shower or basic hygiene supplies. For thousands of our neighbors, this is their daily reality. At Project Outpour, we believe everyone deserves dignity, care, and a chance to feel human again. This year alone, we’ve provided 2,256 showers—each one a moment of relief, hope, and connection for someone in need. But as the demand for our services grows, so does our need for support. 💙 Your gift today can change a life. Whether you donate to keep our mobile showers running or purchase essentials from our wishlist, you’re helping us restore dignity and bring hope to those who need it most. 💧 Donate now and give the gift of clean: https://lnkd.in/ez_ZFNgV Let’s show our neighbors they are seen, valued, and not forgotten. Together, we can make an incredible difference. 💙💧

'We believe your zip code shouldn't control your health outcomes' This health care access vision is one of the main reasons why I chose to join the Hospitality House Board of Directors just over a year ago. Because while all of us locally can benefit from the growth of Charlotte as a regional, national, and global health care services destination, some in our community are limited in their ability to do so. Although medical insurance may cover the costs associated with organ transplant, cancer treatment, and other major medical procedures, it does not cover the costs of housing for people who travel to Charlotte to receive their life-saving or life-sustaining treatments. Or the cost for family members, friends, or care-givers that need to stay with them. These costs fall to the families and people who need specialty care...$200-$400 a night in a hotel near hospital facilities really adds up for people needing weeks of post-operative care. This need is most pronounced for people coming to Charlotte from rural or outlying locations who have no family or friends here that could be helpful. This is where Hospitality House steps in...and the need is clearly evident (please read the post below describing recent full occupancy trends the House is now experiencing). Providing patients and their care-givers with some sense of normalcy during a traumatic time in their lives is a labor of love. A private room, public space where they can engage with others going through similar 'away from home' recovery emotions, food and social connections if they so desire. All at extremely low or no cost for the duration of the time they need to heal. These services, provided by a caring and engaged team of house professionals, are essential to the physical, emotional, and mental recovery of people in need. The demand for these patient services continues to grow as the quality of care and types of expertise in Charlotte grow. With a large family of my own here, I know we are blessed to have access to such leading medical care options. And through the work HHOC leads, I committed to help make them more available to people in need. I'm proud to be associated with this organization, and inspired by the community leadership that CEO Angie Bush and her team demonstrate everyday. If you are so inclined, stop by the House for a tour, or consider a gift to help support this worthwhile mission as part of your giving strategy. The need is real, and the mission is dependent on the generous spirit that Charlotte has shown since we moved here in 1992.
Since late January 2024, the House has been 100% full every single night! While having all 20 rooms filled is more common than not, we have never seen a stretch of time where we've been completely full every single day. As one guest checks out, another guest checks in, so we need your support now more than ever. Interested in helping further our mission? Get involved today! Contribute Financially 💰 When you donate to Hospitality House of Charlotte, you give families hope and comfort during difficult medical journeys. Donations help cover important necessities like general operations, food for guests, laundry resources, and utility costs. Volunteer ❤️ We're always looking for volunteers to prepare meals for our guests, work in our yard, or help fold clean linens. Shop Our Wishlists 🛒 Keeping our 20-bedroom House comfortable for families in medical crisis requires many supplies. Hold a supply drive or shop our wish lists to provide patients and caregivers with daily essentials. Spread the Word 📣 Share our posts on social media and tell your friends and family about who we are and what we do. Visit our website to explore the opportunities above: https://lnkd.in/erXnCSj Thank you in advance for supporting patients and families in need. ♥️

🌟 DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT – Together, we can make a life-saving difference! 🌟 Donate now to the Lights for Lifeline WA Christmas Appeal, and have your gift matched dollar for dollar. WHY THIS MATTERS: 💔 1 in 6 people have serious thoughts about ending their own lives. 💔 More than one West Australian dies by suicide every single day. 💡 It costs just $39 to hold a potentially life-saving conversation with someone in crisis. 💡 It costs $4,000 to train a Crisis Supporter to provide compassionate, expert support. 💪 Last year, Lifeline WA held over 130,000 conversations with people seeking help, and they’re aiming to answer over 150,000 calls for help in the year ahead. But they can’t do it alone. Lifeline WA relies on generous support from people like you to continue their vital work – and the festive season is one of the most critical times of the year. HOW YOU CAN HELP: From now until 31 December 2024, every dollar donated to my fundraiser will be matched dollar-for-dollar – doubling the impact of your generosity! 🔗 Donate now: https://lnkd.in/gvBtE8-a 💙 Whether it’s $100, $200, $500, $1,000, $5,000 or more, we will match your gift and directly support Lifeline WA's essential service. OUR GOAL: We’ve set an audacious target of $100,000 and I know we can achieve it together. Let’s ensure more calls are answered, more lives are supported, and more Crisis Supporters are trained. Together, we can change – and save – lives. Here are four simple ways you can help someone in our community! 1. Send a Text 📱 Sending a text doesn't take long and can make someone's day! Take a minute and tell them you're thinking about them, tell them something you love about them, or thank them for being in your life. 2. Donate Clothes 👗 If you have clothes you don't wear anymore, you can donate them to those in need. Find local clothing donation opportunities on JustServe! 3. Visit the Elderly 👴🏻👵🏻 Assisted living centers often love volunteers coming to visit with residents. Find a local assisted living center in need of volunteers and enjoy brightening someone else's day! 4. Plan a Park Clean-Up 🛝 Clean up trash or debris at a local park or cemetery with your friends!
