Throwback to last Thursday! I had the incredible opportunity to deliver a keynote at Google HQ in California—a highlight moment for me as a speaker and thought leader. But here’s the twist: this stage also became the scene of a little “first” I wasn’t expecting! After years of public speaking, I’d never faced a wardrobe malfunction…until now. 😅 So, what went down? I was wearing my go-to earrings with an oversized clasp (three times the size of the stud itself!). Midway through my talk, I felt that clasp slide right off and into my dress. Without missing a beat, I removed the earring, placed it on the podium, and kept going, turning it into a fun moment with the audience. It’s all about adapting, right? Big thanks to my favorite storyteller, the talented Larry Leo Ozomah for this video post production. Also, shoutout to ProjectSpeaker for showing me off to the client. P.S. How would you handle a minor hiccup on stage? #cybersecurity #informationsecurity #speaker
Haha...what a quick way to adapt!✨ How will I handle a minor hiccup? I'll be totally mortified, not sure what I'd do🤔
Standing on the world's stage and doing what you know how best to. You are an epitome of what a lady should be Confidence Staveley
My everyday woman crush. Keep breaking boundaries and impacting. I love your steeze Confidence Staveley
Well done Confidence Staveley, another exciting Public Speaking moment in Cali, keep making us Proud 👏👍✔️.
I think you, Confidence Staveley, gracefully handled it. The best way I handle stage mishaps is first, to not be awkward about it, rather, I embrace it and not let it throw me off, maybe even make a fun comment about it lol… and you did just that! Between, you are such an inspiration! 😇 Your resources would never run dry.

Amazing. Love to see it. Keep up the great work you're an inspiration to the community.
Confidence Staveley This is what is known as maximum composure, aka maximum steeze 😄. Nicely done ma'am. I bet your audience learnt more than information security but also how to protect steeze.

1moConfidence Staveley What a powerful moment you created! It's not every day that someone can turn an unexpected hiccup into an opportunity to engage with their audience even more. Your ability to stay composed and turn a wardrobe malfunction into a fun and relatable moment truly showcases your strength as a speaker. It’s inspiring to see how you handle the pressure with such grace and authenticity. As for handling those surprises, you nailed it, confidence, humor, and adaptability are key! You turned the moment into something memorable for both you and the audience. This is a powerful reminder that it's not about avoiding mistakes, but how we respond to them that makes us stand out as leaders and storytellers. Keep shining!
