#EDECS is Hiring HSE Team Leader Accountabilities and duties: • Assist the Project HSE manager in preparing the HSE plan and budget for the project. • Implement, and improve the HSE policies, processes, and procedures for the project. • Provide all required support and guidance for the HSE team to ensure the transfer of knowledge, the proper utilization of human resources, and achieve the planned performance. • Ensure the implementation and promotion of a Health and safety culture across the project through the provision and implementation the Health and safety policies and procedures, including risk assessment, accident prevention, health initiatives, and acknowledged personal responsibility. • Coordinate with the Project management to deliver comprehensive Health and Safety training to promote, develop, and sustain a positive Health and Safety awareness culture. • Provide appropriate risk assessment methodology to comply with legislation and ensure all potential risks are identified and control measures implemented and monitored. • Participate in the accident investigation process to ensure personal accountability and improve risk management, including monitoring and interpretation of statistical data. • Handle safety assessments and deploy corrective measures to minimize hazard risk profile. • Participate in conducting safety audits both internal and external. • Being up to date with changes in current legislation and implementing such changes where relevant. • Conduct training for all project staff according to the Training plan. • Assist the Project HSE manager in all requested reports including but not limited to ( Monthly, weekly, and required registers). • Attend the weekly meetings with Project HSE staff. • Follow up and support the HSE team to achieve the KPIs, and provide a monthly report to his direct manager Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Construction or a related field • Minimum 7 years in the HSE Department • Minimum 2 years as HSE Team leader • Proficient in English • Excellent use of Microsoft Office Productivity Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). • Knowledge of the ISO certification process (preferably ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 internal auditor) • OSHA Construction and NEBOSH IGC Certificates is a must •Must be NIOSH Specialist Interested candidates can send their updated CVs to m.ehab@edecs.com and mention the title in the subject line #HSE #Construction #EDECS
